The Reward Of Seeking God - In Life and Career.

Greetings, My Friends. In my own journey, I have learned that success is not always a sign that we are on the right path. In fact, it is often in moments of achievement that we are most vulnerable to drifting away from God’s best for us. My encouragement to you, drawn from years of walking with the Lord, is this: seek God above all else. As 2 Chronicles 26:5 reminds us, intimacy with Him is the true foundation for lasting purpose, wise leadership, and the forward momentum He desires for your life and career. Let us look together at 2 Chronicles 26:5 and the account of King Uzziah. Scripture tells us, “As long as he sought the Lord, God prospered him.” I have seen this truth play out in my own life and in the lives of many leaders I have mentored. Uzziah’s growth was directly connected to his pursuit of God and the wise counsel of Zechariah, a spiritual advisor who understood God’s vision. When that accountability faded, pride entered, and what seemed like unstoppable success became a sobering warning. This lesson is vital for every Christian leader who desires to walk in biblical prosperity and remain grounded as God opens new doors. I encourage you to put these truths into practice through spiritual disciplines that have shaped my own walk with God: seek Him first in every decision, trust Him wholeheartedly rather than relying on your own understanding, and always acknowledge that every good thing comes from His hand. Surround yourself with wise counsel, especially as God brings success, and you will see His faithfulness in every season. Tony Williams Send Tony a Text https://www.seldicompany.com/

"The Power of Your Tongue (words)!" - Part 2

Greetings, my friends. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Those who love it will eat the fruit thereof. Your mouth can either magnify the problem or magnify the promise. We talk through a simple but challenging idea: God’s Word is not meant to stay on the page. Meditate on Scripture and speak God’s promises out loud, and your words become a practical tool for courage, clarity, and steady leadership in real life. We ground the conversation in Joshua 1:8 and unpack why “the Word shall not depart from your mouth” is a daily blueprint, not a one-time verse to underline. We connect Bible meditation to decision-making, faith at work, and the mindset that keeps you from spiraling into negative self-talk. If you’ve been asking what to say when the pressure rises, we explore how the Holy Spirit can bring the right promise to your remembrance at the moment you need it. We also share a true story from 1 AM: the sound of a leaky faucet and the temptation to panic. That small moment becomes a leadership lesson on pausing, praying, and proclaiming rather than reacting, so you can practice steadier responses in your own pressure moments. You’ll hear a practical approach for building your own promise notebook, tying specific Scriptures to your goals, your vision, and the challenges that feel impossible right now. Take time to get alone with God, open your Bible to Joshua 1:8, meditate on it, then choose the promise and speak it over your current situation today. Share this insight with a friend who needs steady hope, and walk in the abundant life that is ours through asking, believing, and receiving in faith. The Power Of Your Tongue (words)! - Part 1

Your life and career can stall for reasons you can measure and reasons you can’t. One of the most overlooked reasons is your own voice. I’m Tony Williams, and I’m bringing a direct biblical leadership insight that has challenged me for decades: Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue, and our words are never “just words.” They either reinforce fear and limitation or they release faith, courage, and movement toward what God has already provided.  We walk through what “speaking death” sounds like in everyday life and career language, and why phrases like “I’ll never get promoted” or “I’ll never get well” can quietly become a cage. Then we shift to a simple, powerful alignment practice using Psalm 19:14, asking God to make the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart pleasing in His sight. This is not hype or denial, it is spiritual clarity that changes how we think, talk, and act.  I also share how to build a practical “promises” habit by opening the Bible, discovering the promises of God, writing them down, and speaking them with intention. We end with four steps that bring it all together: listening to God’s Word, believing God’s Word, doing God’s Word, and speaking God’s Word, including a vivid wisdom picture from Proverbs that makes Scripture feel alive and actionable. If you want Christian career development tools, faith-based mindset renewal, and biblical insights for life and leadership, this one is for you. "Following The Living God In Life And Career Decisions."

Greetings, my friends. Our choices today shape our lives and calling. Trust God to lead you step by step. Through decades of walking with God in my life and career, I have learned that following the living God is the only way to experience His best. Today, I encourage you to ask yourself: Who am I truly following in my decisions? God invites us to 'Believe Me for More.' Daily choices, guided by faith and obedience, position us for God's best. Trust His power and guidance each step. Set goals by seeking God's vision. Prioritize listening to God's direction for every step, moving forward in faith that He will provide. When obstacles arise, focus on what God has spoken. Ask if you're moving forward in faith or hesitating from doubt. At times, God's goals may feel distant or challenging. When that happens, take every thought captive and ask God to confirm your direction. When anxiety over costs or risks arises, bring your concerns to God and trust His provision. Today, I want to share with you some proven Biblical insights that God has given me and will give to all who seek Him first. I invite you to apply these principles—commit this week to listening for God's guidance and to acting on what He reveals to you. Listen to God, trust His guidance, and obey in His timing. Pray: 'Lord, am I in step with You?' The answers to these questions are always found in Scripture. Over the years, I have kept dates and notes in my Bible about challenges I faced and the direction God gave me. These 'journey markers' remind me of moments when God spoke and proved Himself faithful. Isaiah 30:15 teaches that quietness and confidence renew our strength. True leadership flows from intimacy with God. Withdraw for renewal and clarity when distractions mount. Today, God reassured me that I am moving in the right direction and walking in step with Him. What a boost to my confidence! It all comes from taking time to quiet myself before God and listen for His voice. God reassures us to walk by faith, not by sight. Avoid counterfeit guidance, trusting in God's provision and leading.  For all who believe, trust, and obey God in their lives, careers, families, and with those they serve, the path is sure. The takeaway: As you walk with God, He will consistently guide your steps in every direction you go. Send Tony a Text https://www.seldicompany.com/

    "God's Preparation For Promotion!" - Part 2

Greetings, my friends. God’s heart is to lift us up and bless us in every area of our lives. Yet, I have learned through years of walking with Him that true success is only secure when it is built on a deep relationship with God. Without Him, even when we reach the heights we once prayed for, we can feel uncertain and unstable. But with God as our foundation, we can stand firm and confident, knowing He is faithful to keep us steady. Over the years, I have seen God lead me and many others through a process of growth and promotion. It always begins with the truth that God has a unique plan for your life, and He longs to give you a vision for your future. Trust that He is guiding you step by step, just as He has faithfully guided me. When we seek an intimate relationship with God through His Son Jesus, we open the door to all of God’s best for us. I have witnessed in my own life how His blessings touch every area when we walk closely with Him. God Himself engages with us, equips us, and empowers us for every step of the journey. He is faithful to prepare us for each milestone, guiding us along the path He has set before us. When God promotes us, He empowers us with His Holy Spirit and the promises of the Bible, enabling us to walk by faith and lead with confidence wherever He places us. We can trust that He will provide everything we need to fulfill His calling.  Our position is secured by God. Send Tony a Text https://www.seldicompany.com/

    "God’s Preparation For Promotion!" - Part 1

Greetings, my friends. When I started out, getting promoted often felt mysterious until I learned to look deeper. In this post, we’ll explore how integrating faith—specifically, insights from Psalm 18—can shape your approach to career growth and leadership. Here’s a tough truth: pride might get you ahead quickly, but it can also lead to setbacks. Humility, grounded in faith, helps you stay open to guidance and support when new opportunities come. If you’re facing a job change, a new role, or a leadership challenge that feels overwhelming, I believe  this message offers clarity by showing how faith can inform your decisions and bring you peace. Let me share a personal story from March 22, 1998, that illustrates this faith-based approach in action. After finishing a big project, I was offered a new promotion, but I still felt unsure. Through prayer and reflecting on Psalm 18, I found a turning point. God “lights my lamp” and “enlightens my darkness,” and I drew courage from the words, “By You I can run against a troop… I can leap over a wall.” Talking with a trusted friend helped confirm that moving into a sales role was the right step. This experience showed me how Scripture, wise advice, and your own strengths can work together to guide your choices. Building on that experience, the second step is being equipped. God often strengthens us through situations we wouldn’t pick for ourselves, clears the path ahead, and gets us ready for greater things before we reach them. The image of a hind scaling the side of a cliff reminds us that we’re given what we need to move forward without fear. It’s also a reminder that challenges can come when you’re following God’s purpose.  Also, watch my YouTube Short on the SELDI-faith YouTube channel for inspirational moments walking with God that will encourage you. https://www.youtube.com/@SELDIFAITH/shorts If this message encouraged you, please subscribe, share it with a friend who could use some courage, and let me know your biggest takeaway. How to Defeat Fear in Life and Career

How to Defeat Fear in Life and Career Fear is one of the greatest obstacles that tries to block us from pursuing the vision God has placed in our hearts for our lives and careers. For many years, I wrestled with fear and questioned why I was not seeing progress. Through prayer and seeking God, I came to understand that fear is designed to keep us from stepping into the good works God has prepared for us, and to discourage us from trusting His promises. I want to encourage you with an insight God has shown me, one that will help you overcome fear and move forward with boldness in the purpose He has ordained for your life. Every one of us faces fear at some point in our journey, whether in life or in our careers. If we allow fear and negative thoughts to take root, we can begin to doubt not only ourselves but also the faithfulness of God to guide and equip us. Often, fear begins with small things—perhaps speaking in front of others, stepping out into a new opportunity, or being concerned about the opinions of people around us. But when you truly grasp your identity in Christ and the authority He has given you, your entire perspective shifts. You begin to see yourself as more than a conqueror, empowered by God to overcome every challenge. Fear whispers lies such as, 'You are not enough, you will never succeed, or what if you fail?' But God’s Word declares the opposite—He has equipped you for every good work. I share openly from my own journey, having moved from being tormented by fear to walking in the freedom and confidence that comes from trusting God’s Word and His faithfulness. Through Scripture and real-life experience, I have seen God transform fear into courage. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. To overcome fear, begin by identifying its source. Stand firm in your faith, surrender your anxieties to the Lord, and resist every negative influence with the truth of God’s Word. Take practical steps to care for your spirit, soul, and body. Guard your heart, remove anything that hinders your walk with God, stay focused on His promises, and choose faith over fear every day. Today, I encourage you to take a step of faith, trusting God to help you overcome fear and move forward with confidence in the purpose He has called you to fulfill. "The Power Of Your Words!"

One sentence can set the temperature of your whole day. We lean into a simple but confronting truth from Proverbs 18:21: death and life are in the power of the tongue, and our words produce fruit whether we mean them to or not. If you’ve ever blurted something out and thought, “I wish I could take that back,” this message gives you a practical way forward that starts before the words leave your mouth. We talk about installing a “pause chip” a mental pause that helps us measure what we’re about to say, especially when we feel stressed, offended, or afraid. From there, we get specific about what “words of death” sound like (the constant negative verdicts we pronounce over ourselves and others) and how to replace them with life-giving speech that aligns with God’s Word. We also dig into why this matters for Christian leadership, family life, and personal growth: you create an environment with what you consistently speak. You’ll hear a direct challenge around health language too: stop claiming suffering as “mine” and start confessing truth and promises, including 1 Peter 2:24. We also share how journaling and repeating Scripture over your goals keeps your vision alive over decades, with Psalm 35:27-28 as a guide for continual declaration and praise. We close by anchoring everything in Matthew 4:4 and the decision to live by every word that proceeds from God. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so more people can find this faith-based teaching on the power of words.
