Dave Rex Presents

Thought this was a great listen. Host does a good job of remaining unbiased and not inserting personal opinions into the narrative. He sticks to the facts. And that is coming from someone who didn’t have a strong opinion either way before listening. Anyone accusing him of being biased or a troll probably already had an opinion before listening to this.

I think you did a necessary thing by summing up all the relevant information from a relatively unbiased standpoint. I think it’s important a listener made this because it’s geared towards listeners who may want to know what’s going on without losing hours of their life to reddit. I think I could do without ever hearing you say someone has been “shaken to a crumbling mess.” I don’t know Mike, I like his show and if people don’t like him they don’t have to listen. You’re right, however, that as long as the internet is around, the trolls will be there, waiting...

Nobody, who has a life, cares to listen about online drama.

I’m at the Raina (sp?) interview part of the podcast and I’m very confused. It would have been nice had Dave organized it a little better. Dave Rex got way to excited about the gotcha part of this story, so excited in fact that he forgot to actually git ‘em. I decided to listen to this podcast and give it a chance after happening upon the reddit page where Dave Rex asks for information regarding Mike Boudet’s online demeanor. I discovered that reddit page after the Easter egg left by Mike at the beginning of episode 103 of S&S. It’s just kind of insane, truly a reflection of our time: I’m listening to a podcast about another podcasts’ host. There are so many other things to be reflecting upon, but us naval gazers man, we’ve got this figured out. Honestly, is there anything less interesting than rehashing social media disagreements? In this day and age of alerts and reviews and opinions abound, what a waste of time it is to regurgitate them and pull them apart. This entire podcast could be summed up in one sentence: The podcast The Sword and Scale is still popular, despite the opinions of many people on many different social media platforms, climaxing with a somewhat racey Twitter exchange, and culminating in the boycott of S&S. There, now go study something instead of listening to this audio Maury Povich nonsense.
