    Episode 002 - Andy Yung

My first interview for the podcast - please pardon the brief hiccups like silence and sound breaks; it's a learning process! Andy Yung is a pre-K teacher at PS 244Q in Flushing, Queens, New York City. An inspiring educator, Andy is creative and takes a unique approach to teaching that includes social emotional learning and Jedi training. In this episode we talk about Andy's work as a pre-K teacher, social emotional learning, the iPad generation, Donors Choose, and real, paid family leave for teachers. To follow Andy's work please check out: https://twitter.com/greenoak1122 https://www.instagram.com/kindersicht/ And, please donate to Andy's GoFundMe page for real paternity leave - it's a help to him but also a part of a greater movement: https://www.gofundme.com/fightforfamilyleave

    Episode 001 - 6 Feb 2018

Episode 1 of the #WalkWithThem podcast. In this episode you’ll hear about how this podcast came to be, my appreciation for Giselle Ugarte - radio personality for GO96.3FM - for her work and her as a role model for Latinx youth, my experience trying out for the school radio station, how The Rich Roll Podcast Episode 34 influenced the dream again - http://www.richroll.com/podcast/rrp-34-ps244-christian-ledesma-bob-groff-of-ps244-vegetarian-school-lunch-program/, my brief review of “Crushing It” by Gary Vaynerchuk, and what the future holds for the #WalkWithThem podcast.
