Come & See Inspirations (C&SI) is a podcasting team based out of Ardagh in West Limerick. The C&SI team works on various podcasts which aim to spread hope and faith online and on air.     C&SI - Summer Reflection Series 2026: "Open hearts - Open Doors" and "Faith, Sport & Addiction" - 5 July 2026 (S06E33)

    During the summer months here on C&SI we try to share with listeners reflections and talks which we have come across over the year from various workshops and novenas which we think deserve a wider audience and to provide some thoughtful listening for our listeners. On this weeks podcast we have two such reflections and talks to share. - In part one, Belfast-based writer and pastoral worker Jim Deeds shares a poignant reflection titled "Open Hearts, Open Doors" during the annual Solemn Novena at the Redemptorists Limerick (Mount St. Alphonsus). His talks focused on belonging, fostering a welcoming church, inclusion, and safety within the community - In part two, former Limerick intercounty hurler, Ciaran Carey shares a reflection at the Kilmallock Novena on "Faith, Sport and Addiction".  We have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends for the coming week, the Pope's prayer intentions for the month of July and of course a reading of the Sunday Gospel.     We have a lighter programme/podcast this week as Shane was galivanting with the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes leaving John to mind the shop back in Ireland.  During the summer months here on C&SI we try to share with listeners reflections and talks which we have come across over the year from various workshops and novenas which we think deserve a wider audience and to provide some thoughtful listening for our listeners. So in part two on this weeks podcast we have a thoughtful reflection from the All Ireland Rosary Rally and listeners may remember a few weeks back we had Karen Clancy on speaking about the rosary and the All Ireland Rosary Rally which was held in Knock on 6th June. On this weeks podcast we are sharing one of the testimonies from the Rally from Nikki Kingsley. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Nikki Kingsley was raised in a loving Muslim family that emphasised devotion to God. After years of practising Islam, her life changed through a series of powerful dreams and mystical encounters with Jesus and Mary. These experiences led her to seek truth beyond her upbringing, ultimately embracing the Catholic faith. She shares her remarkable journey from Islam to Christianity as a speaker and author.     On this weeks podcast C&SI partners up with TheWay.ie to bring you an update on the Irish Synodal Pathway. We had hoped to have Juliann Moran (the Synodal Pathway General Secretary) on with us but unfortunately Juliann is a bit under the weather at the minute. So this week we are sharing an interview with Fr Declan Hurley, Chairperson of the National Synodal Pathway, and Patricia Carroll, member of the National Synodal Pathway and Pastoral Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Dublin who discuss the progress made by the various working groups and explain the purpose and significance of the upcoming National Synodal Assembly. In part one we have our regular run through the up coming liturgical odds and ends including Saints of the Week and we have some reflections this week from Martina Leehane Sheehan (from Ruahrest) and Monica Browne.  In part three John and Shane have our weekly effort to share some thoughts with  you about the Sunday gospel which this week is from Matthew 10:26-33.  On this weeks reflection Shane made reference to the German protestant pastor and martyr of Nazi's Dietrich Bonhoeffer.     Limerick is preparing to celebrate its Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help from June 19th to 27th at Mount St Alphonsus on Henry Street in Limerick with the Redemptorist Fathers. On this weeks podcast we are joined by Fr Gerry Moloney who takes us through the Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and through what is up coming at the novena this  year where the theme is "Called and Sent". The theme is based on the Irish Synodal Pathway and over each day of the Novena, there will be sharing and reflection on the principal focus areas from the synodal pathway. Drawing thousands of attendees from across the Mid-West, the multi-session daily event features scripture-based homilies, petition writing, and specialized sessions for families, the sick, and the elderly. In part one of the podcast we have our regular run through the upcoming liturgical odds and ends including saints of the week and some bits and bobs from around the Catholic world news. In part three we have our weekly reflection on the Sunday gospel which this week is a return to the gospel of Matthew as we will journey with Matthew for the most of the liturgical year from now until November.
