    March 15, 2018 - Buzzard Day

Today is March 15th, 2018, and it is Buzzard Day in Ohio. This state day celebrates the return of a buzzard to Hinckley Reservation at Cleveland Metroparks. Seen as a harbinger of Spring rather than of impending death it is nice to see a bird with a bad rap get celebrated sometime. March 14, 2018 - Pi Day

Today is March 14th, 201, and it is Pi Day! The letter Pi is the sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet, but the number Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi is an irrational number, one that never repeats and never ends - so usually we just abbreviate it to3.14, which is why we celebrate this mathematical constant on the fourteenth day of the third month! March 8, 2018 - International Women’s Day

Today is March 8th, 2018, and it is International Women’s Day. Personally I’ve never understood sexism, I have been blessed with many strong women in my life and as a result have never thought of the finer sex as the lesser sex. Given the social events of the last year I think this International Women’s Day is going to be a big one.
