    Legends Of Tomorrow S5 E15 Recap & After Show: A Date with the Fates

    The Legends, free of being on Fate created TV shows, reach out to Charlie to let her know they are ready to take down the Fates.  Charlie declines and says her sisters are too powerful.  The Legends proceed anyway and try to destroy the Loom.  When Atropos shows up to stop Sara, Constantine and Astra in the Loom room, Sara fights her while the other two try to destroy the Loom.  When Constantine starts struggling, Sara launch Atropos into the Loom and destroys it. The team gets picked up by the rest of the Legends in the Waverider (which is running without Gideon).  The team jumps ahead a few months and comes out to bask in victory only to find out that the Fates are still in control.  The eldest Fate, Lachesis, is now controlling the world through smart watches that transmit the Loom. The Legends try again to get Charlie to help but she passes.  The rest of the team go to take on Lachesis and learn that the Loom was destroyed.  Instead. Lachesis is using Gideon to run the smart watches and control humanity. The Legends start fighting Lachesis who has brought Encores with her to do the fighting. Lita finds Charlie and convinces her that rejoining the Legends and stopping Lachesis is the right thing to do.  While the Legends deactivate Gideon and free the populace, Charlie finds Lachesis and instead of destroying her, apologies for her actions and tells Lachesis that they both have a chance as humans to embrace the chaotic nature of life. With the threat ended, Zari 1.0 realizes that her being alive is causing Behrad to be torn apart by dueling timelines.  To save him, Zari 1.0 decides to return to the totem.  Zari says her goodbyes to the Legends and dissolves back to the totem. The Legends celebrate their victory by heading back to the 70’s and watching Charlie play with her band, the Smell.  Afterwards as the Legends leave, Charlie tells them that she is going to stay and live her life there.  Sara tells her if she ever needs the Legends that they will be there for her. As Charlie returns to the bar and the Legends returning to the Waverider, no one notices Sat being abducted by an alien spaceship that takes off into space.     Legends Of Tomorrow S5 E14 Recap & After Show: I want my Legends TV

    After the Legends died last episode, we open on a world controlled by the Fates where they have humans rewriting history to get rid of conflict and have humanity be subservient to the Fates will. Mona and Gary are caught in this dystopian world.  The only thing humanity can do is eat mush and watch TV.  Mona comes how to watch TV and starts with “Ultimate Buds”, a Friends type sitcom, Behrad (back alive), Nate and Zari are in this show.  When Behrad takes of the totem Zari 1.0 (from the old timeline) come out and takes over Zari 2.0’s body.  This Zari remembers who she really is and tries to get Nate and Behrad to remember but they think they are actors. Zari finds a door in the apartment that has never been opened.  When she opens it she finds a portal to another show, “Hightown Abbey” where the three of them meet Constantine and Astra. Neither remember who they are either but Constantine does remember some magic and creates a spell to send them to Sara and Ava. Mona and Gary sneak into the television studio and find the huge automated script generator Charlie has built to write the Legends TV adventures. The rest of the Legends find Sara and Ava on a show called Star Trip.  The two of them also don’t remember who they are but have found a faint signal.  Nate and Behrad push a button to contact the source and suddenly the who crew find themselves in Mr. Parker’s Culdesac. Mona decides enough is enough and takes over writing the script and types in that Legends remember everything. On the TV show, the Legends remember not only who they bare but also the previous timeline where Zari 1.0 is from. Charlie arrives at the automated writing room and stops Mona and Gary from doing anything further. It turns out that the deal Charlie made with her sisters is that she could bring the Legends back, including Behrad, to live on TV shows where they would help indoctrinate society to the Fates way of thinking. Charlie can’t have them trying to break free and sends them all back to their respective TV shows.  The Legends however don’t want to continue existing like this and push back.  Sara and Ava find Rory and free themselves as does Astra and Constantine and Zari 1.0, Nate and Behrad. They all end up together on a soundstage looking like themselves.  Charlie tries one more time to plead with them even going as far as splitting Zari’s thread so that Zari 1.0 & 2.0 can both exist. That doesn’t stop the Legends and they head off to beat the Fates whole Charlie says she can’t protect them.     The Legends having just drunk from the chalice of Dionysius have 24 hours of immortality and to use the Loom.  Before they can board the Waverider though it is stolen by Charlie’s two Fate sisters and Astra, who is repaying the debt she owes to them.  After a touch from Ava, Sarah has a vision she doesn’t share with the team and instead says immortality has caused her to lose her powers. The Legends decide to head to the old Time Bureau safe house in London and get a courier to get them about the Waverider.  Unfortunately without the Waverider they have no transportation and end up commandeering a bus. Rory ends up hitting a zombie with the bus which puts the bus out of commission.  After fighting a zombie horde, Constantine and Zari leave to look for transportation while the rest of the Legends are arrested by the British army because they think they are super zombies because of the immortality charm.  They put them on a truck and head off. Constantine and Zari make it to a auto body shop and see a truck they can use but zombie attack before they can get to the vehicle.  The two hide inside the garage behind a locked door. Constantine has a plan to get them to the truck but it requires a spell that will make Zari’s heart stop and seem as if she is dead.  Since for some reason the zombies aren’t interested In Constantine he can carry her to the truck.  The plan works and Constantine restarts Zari’s heart and the to speed off. Astra goes to torture Gary to get the rings and Gary learns that what the Fates showed Astra about her mother.  He reminds her that that was only her death and there are plenty of other great memories of her mother. Meanwhile, the Legends make it to the safe house only to find the courier has run out of charge.  While it charges, the Legends drink and think about what they will do after this is over.  Sara goes to the bar and Ava joins her and asks her to tell her what is really going on.  Sara admits that she had a vision of her dying at the safe house.  The courier doesn’t charge in time and zombies break in and kill her.  Unfortunately, Sara’s vision stops at her death so she doesn’t know what happens after but she has full confidence that Ava and team can save the day. Constantine and Zari step away as well and, after some heated arguing, end up giving into the sexual tension between them.  They return to the rest of the Legends and Charlie seems to know what they just did. Sara falls to the zombies and after that the courier is charged.  Ava gives it to Charlie and tells her to get to the Waverider.  Charlie opens a door to the Waverider and as she runs to it the rest of the Legends fall to the zombies. Charlie arrives in the lab of the Waverider where Gary is.  He fills her in on what happened and then reveals the rings.  Suddenly Hary is killed for behind by the Fates leaving only them and Charlie left.  She says she is tired of running and it is time to go to work.     The Legends are researching to find a way to give them access to god like abilities so that two of them can work with Charlie to rebuild the Loom of Fate.  Constantine comes across a page talking about the chalice of Dionysius.  Nate recognizes that chalice from his time in college when he tried to steal it from a rival fraternity.  Gideon tells them the chalice is still at that fraternity. The Legends head to Hudson University in 2020.  Lita is still on board and decides to take a tour of the university since it was suggested by her councilor that she apply. As Lita and Rory tour the campus they encounter another family that is a legacy.  Feeling uncomfortable about their family life but Rory and Lita lie about facts to make themselves look better.  Rory even says that Nate is Akita’s real dad and leaves the two of them to go back in time and give enough money to the campus to get his name on a building which he shows to Lita.  Rory tells her that she is a shoe in to be accepted at Hudson.  Lita says that she was looking forward to going to college to find her people and she doesn’t think she’ll find them at Hudson. Meanwhile the rest of the Legends check out the various fraternities and sororities that are looking for new pledges.  Nate shows off his shotgunning skills to one fraternity and then the fraternity with the chalice show up carrying in their leader holding the chalice which Charlie recognizes as Dionysius.  Charlie talks to Dion, as he goes by now, and he tells her that he never leaves college because the party never stops and he has lots of followers to give him power. Astra is tired of waiting and wants the chalice now.  She tries to pick it up where Dion left it but is unable to.  Dion tells the Legends that only a god can lift it and only Dion can make them a good.  And the way to do that is to win the chug challenge.  And the only way to do that is to be in a fraternity or sorority. While Sara, Zari, Astra and Ava create a new sorority, Nate stops by Dion’s fraternity.  Dion breaks out his special IPA for Nate and when he drinks it he falls under Dion’s power and tells him that the Legends are trying to rebuild the Loom.  Worried that they will make the party end, Dion goes to the Legends Sorority house and tells them they aren’t allowed to compete in the chug challenge. The Legends now can drink from Dion’s chalice And gain the power of a god for a day.  Rather than just have two people drink it all of the Legends, except Zari, decide to take on the burden and all share godhood.  They all drink and gain the power of a god.  When Astra walks a young sorority sister to her ride share she is surprised by Charlie’s God sister.  She tells Astra that she owes her for helping her with Constantine and it is time to pay up.     Legends Of Tomorrow S5 E11 Recap & After Show: Demon Dog Day Afternoon

    Mick pays a visit to his estranged daughter and offers to take her to a roller derby.  When she passes he shows her the Waverider and she says she’ll spend the weekend with him on the ship. On board the Waverider, Charlie preps to use the Loom of Fate and Gary introduces Ava to his new emotional support dog, Gary Jr. Charlie says she is ready to begin using the Loom. Astra insists her mother get back brought back first.  Zari wants Behrad brought back first and Ava wants Sara out of her coma.  Charlie settles the debate by choosing then bring Behrad first.  She starts the loom and finds Behrad’s string but has a hard time bringing it back for to all the time travel he’s done as part of the Legends.  Charlie’s attempt ends in a huge explosion of energy and the ship is shut off from any time travel. Ava shares the news with Sarah who is still in a coma but suddenly wakes up.  Unfortunately, she she is blind but when people touch her she has a vision of the future.  Ava touches her first and Sara sees her dead, the same thing with Constantine. She is reluctant to share with anyone what is happening to her but when Charlie calls her on it Sara tells the Legends that she sees them stabbed in the future.  She then says she must be confined to the med bay so she doesn’t harm anyone. The rest of the Legends notice that other systems are being shut down.  Gary also finds the case that held the rings of Fate in the waste disposal chute.  As the Legends try to figure out what happened to the rings, Astra is confined behind an energy screen because she can’t be trusted despite her claims of innocence. Zari looks at video footage of the Waverider trying to locate the person who tools the rings.  She sees the Legends destroying all the systems that have gone down. Gary visits Sara and gives her Gary Jr to help her.  Sara has a vision of her killing Gary on the orders of Gary Jr.  Sara snaps back to the present and realizes that Gary Jr is the one pushing her to kill everyone.  Gary Jr runs out of the end bay. Meanwhile Sari realizes that Gary Jr was also at every location a Legend destroyed a ship system. Gary Jr arrives and convinces Nate to kill Charlie and Zari.  Gary interrupts and tells everyone that he got the dog while they were in hell looking for Astra. They soon realize the dog is really the dog that talked to the Son of Sam serial killer.  He then transforms into his demon form and attack the Legends who protect himself behind the energy shield holding Astra. The dog is lose on the Waverider and Sara and Constantine track him.  Sara sees a vision of the dog killing Mick and head to the library to stop that.  Mick protects his daughter from the dog and Constantine stops the dog from killing Mick. Astra convinces the Legends to let her out of the field because she can stop the dog.  They reluctantly agree and she gives Constantine the dogs true name so he can send the creature back to hell. The ship is repaired, Mick’s daughter wants to continue building a relationship with Mick and Gary has a support rabbit now.  Unfortunately, Sara’s blindness sees to be permanent.     Charlie tells the Legends how the last ring that makes the Loom of Fate was hidden.  It was done in Ancient Egypt by the Enchantress.  Zari is on Constantine to god the ring so the Loom of Fate can bring Behrad back to life. Constantine brings the Legends to his home to perform a tracking spell using the Legends auras. During the spell Sara passes out because of aftereffects of her battle with Atropos.  The spell is broken but not before Constantine and Zari fall through a portal and end up in the past when Constantine’s home was a boarding house.  The two of them get a room and try to find the ring. Another guest checks in at the same time.  Turns out the guest is Jack the Ripper who is back to get the ring so he can get permanently out of hell. The two of them manage to subdue him but before they can continue to look for the ring more Encores show up looking for Constantine and the ring. Ava tries to track where Constantine and Zari are with no luck so instead she had Gary take the two of them and Mick to Hell to talk to Astra directly. Astra doesn’t believe Ava’s story about the Encores but when she realizes soul coins for the Encores have been taken for her safe she realizes she’s been betrayed. Astra heads to the women who has been raising her in Hell and learns that she is one of the Fates.  Atropos and her want Astra to be the new third sister.  Astra says she will in exchange for Constantine’s soul coin.  She then returns with the Legends to the Waverider. Constantine and Zari battle the Encores and when Zari taps into the air totem she easily stops the encores and saves Constantine. The two of them have a moment which is interrupted when Constantine finds the ring. They return to the Waverider where Constantine finds out Astra is there and wants to build the Loom of Fate.     A Cruel Fate - S5 E9 ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Recap & After Show

    Zari wakes up in Nate’s bed on the Waverider.  Memories of Zari’s previous timeline life popping up in this Zari’s head are increasing in frequency.  Behrad says that she should commune with the totem and talk to previous totem bearers. As they prepare for that the Constantine tries to convince the rest of the Legends to continue to find the pieces of the Loom of Fate.  Charlie isn’t interested at the moment because she is dealing with learning that her old band mates, The Smell, have been killed be her sister, who is know looking for Charlie. Constantine takes off on his own to find the next price which takes him to present day forests in  British Columbia which is also serving as a filming location for Supernatural. Sara and Charlie follow him as does Charlie’s sister.  Charlie separates from the two of them to encounter her sister and is so afraid of what might happen that she almost takes the offer to go with her.  Sara and Constantine show up to fight her and get Charlie away but she is more than a match for them.  Sara is able to get Charlie away while Constantine distracts Atropos but he falls and Atropos disguises herself as Constantine  to get Charlie to take her to the piece of the Loom of Fate.  When Charlie retrieves the piece Atropos reveals herself and pins Charlie against  tree and gets that ring of fate.  Sara tries time stop her and Atropos reveals her true self to her.  While that is supposed to be certain death, she survives. The Waverider arrives to help and Atropos tracks the other ring of fate onto the ship.  The only people left on board are Zari and Behrad.  Zari is in a trance communicating with her previous timeline self inside the totem.  Behrad tries to stop Atropos who instead draws of the sting of fate of his life and cuts it short ending his life. Before Atropos can leave the ship Sara and Charlie are able to push her into the time stream while retrieving the rings of fate. Zari asks Constantine if the Loom of Fate can bring back Behrad.  He says it can and Zari says she will be right next to him until that is done. Also in the episode Ava helps Mick try to repair the relationship with his daughter by traveling in time and planting himself in key moments of her life.  When that doesn’t work, Mick is ready to go back and time and stop himself from sleeping with Lita’s mom.  Ava suggest what is needed is to apologize for not being around instead.     “Wherefore Art Thou Bromance?” - S5 E8 ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’

    Ray tells Nora that he’s ready to leave the Waverider to start his life with Nora.  They tell the rest of the Legends except for Nate because Ray doesn’t know how to tell his best friend. Failing to get Ray to tell Nate, the Legends focus on getting the first piece of the Loom of Fate. Charlie left that piece, a ring, with William Shakespeare.  The team travels back to 16th century London and meet Shakespeare who just recently gave the ring to his manager to get more time to put on his new play, Romeo and Juliet.  Shakespeare is struggling with how to end the play. While Nate and Ray try to come up with a cool way to get the ring from the manager, Charlie steals it and brings the mission to an end.  Feeling like his last mission wasn’t epic enough and not ready to tell Nate yet, Ray tries to stall their return to the Waverider.  Nate decides this would be the perfect time to do Ray’s bachelor party. On the Waverider, book club is happening and they decide to turn it into a bridal shower for Nora. In Hell, Astra looks into a special pool tat lets her look at what Constantine is doing to get the Loom of Fate.  She arrives to see the Legends celebrating in the tavern in London.  Constantine senses someone watching him and while trying to locate the source bumps into the manager and a fight breaks out.  The Legends are drunk and use their powers to settle the fight which cause Shakespeare to change Romeo and Juliet into a action story. In the present, book club realizes the away team has messed up.  Ray and Nate go back to talk to Shakespeare.  Ray said that stories need endings even if they are difficult.  Shakespeare knows how he should end the story but hasn’t because he will miss the characters.  Ray’s words inspire Shakespeare to tell the correct end to the story.  Nate overhears Ray telling Shakespeare that he is leaving the Waverider and gets mad at Ray for not telling him sooner. When the future doesn’t correct itself, the Legends learn that Shakespeare’s manager took back the extension and he has no money to rent a theatre or pay actors.  The Legends decide to put on the play themselves. Nate starts performing as Juliet but the words help him to realize he needs to say goodbye to Ray before he leaves.  Turning over the roll to Zari, Nate returns to the Waverider and catches Ray before he leaves and they say a heartfelt goodbye. Meanwhile Astra is deciding if she can trust Constantine to assemble the Loom of Fate.
