As an avid listener of podcasts, I can say with confidence that Keystone C2C is among at least the top twenty weekly programs devoted to professional sports in the greater Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas. The key ingredient in the show’s recipe is the diversity of its subject matter, the depth and breadth of which is equaled only by that of the show’s listening audience. This is due in no small part to the efforts of co-host Matt Kasznel, who manages to discuss not Joel Embiid, but also Dario Saric in every episode, even when the conversation has nothing to do with the NBA. The show’s content is complemented by its masterful production value. Despite being in only its first few months of distribution, Keystone C2C is already peerless in the appearance of the phrase “We’ll cut this later.” It’s that kind of attention to detail that has “Peabody” written all over it. In a similar vein, the audio quality is top-notch. Co-host Eddie Provident’s voice always comes through crisp and clear, despite the fact that his mouth is usually full of either a piping hot calzone or some appendage of his Phil Kessel blow-up doll. I guess all his training as an audio engineer in the world-renowned Allegheny County music scene really payed off. My only criticism of the podcast is its absolutely mediocre theme song, but I’m sure the guys will work that out eventually. I hear that Scott Stapp is available on a work-for-hire basis these days. All in all, if you’re looking for funny, insightful PA sports talk (and by that, I mean almost exclusively Penguins and Sixers), look no further. Matt and Eddie have you covered. Keep up the good work, boys. I just wish you would stop ragging on my music.
