    Why utilize Messenger?

    Why utilize Messenger?  Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and branding expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  Did you know that over 50% of all Facebook accounts utilize Messenger?  In my opinion, Messenger is as important as your phone # and email.  It’s an easy and quick way for a potential or current customer to reach you.  Please make Messenger a priority to your business and nonprofit.  Be sure to check it often and respond as quickly as possible.  Don’t leave them hanging.  No one likes to be ignored.  You can also utilize Messenger to move the conversation from the comment section.  Have FUN connecting on Messenger.  Please continue to follow me for my next freshly brewed blog.     Social media is like your stomach; it needs to be fed.  Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and branding expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  I don’t know about you but I feed my stomach often throughout the day.  Once in the morning with my morning coffee and Atkins chocolate and peanut butter bar.  Again, at lunch with a salad.  Then there’s dinner at 5.  And let’s not forget a nightly snack.  Your social media handles need fed as well.  Maybe not 3 squares a day but I highly suggest you feed it with an engaging post at least once daily.  The more you feed, nurture, and engage your audience the stronger your brand will grow and thrive.  I encourage you to give your audience a healthy dose of fun, entertaining, educational, and engaging posts.  Please continue to follow me for my next freshly brewed blog.     Social media is like a fun game of show and tell! Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and branding expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  I loved show and tell day in school.  Not only did I get show and tell but more importantly I got to learn from other students through theirs.  When posting for your brand on social think of it like a fun game of show and tell.  On a consistent basis simply show and tell your brand story.  What makes your brand super fun, trustworthy, unique, reliable, the place to be.  I suggest you customize your show and tell pics on social by designing custom branded graphics.  Take pics of products and happy customers.  Be sure to use your logo and brand colors.  If you’re not currently creating custom content and are lost on where or how to start, I suggest a free account on canva.com.  It’s an easy to learn and use web based design platform.  And remember to always keep your post fun and positive.  Please continue to follow me for my next freshly brewed blog.     Does a first impression really matter?

    Does a first impression really matter? Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and branding expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  Did you know that most of your potential consumers, donors, and or volunteers will search for your brand on Facebook first?  And what they see or do not see really matters to them taking the next step with your brand.  Is your content really outdated?  Not fun?  Not professional?  Not engaging?  Not interesting? One if not all these things will quickly turn away potential consumers.  I highly encourage your brand to post at the very minimum of once a week to keep your brand alive on social.  And to keep growing a stronger brand you can post more.  First impressions can only happen once.  Please continue to follow me for my next freshly brewed blog.     Is your brand social on social?

    Is your brand social on social?  Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and branding expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  I hear brands tell me all the time that yes, they have a Facebook page but aren’t actively using it.  So, are those brands really being social on social?  Likely not.  To be social on social, you need to start by posting custom and engaging content on a consistent basis.  Content that merits reactions, comments, and shares.  And don’t forget to join the conversation by reacting and responding to all the comments.  This is where the social in social really begins.  I encourage you to really enjoy and foster this process of engaging with current and potential customers and or donors.  Please continue to follow me for my next freshly brewed blog. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of social media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  My idea of social proof is relating it to a fun and engaging game of show and tell.  Show customer experiences and reviews, tell your story, share your expertise, and show how your products and services help solve a problem.  Did you know 88% of Gen Zs and Millennials use social media to research products they’re interested in buying?  And the higher the social proof, the more likely they are to buy.  Social proof builds trust and a much stronger connection.  I encourage you to continue to have an ongoing game of show and tell on social media that’s fun and engaging.     My favorite social media platform is…Facebook.  What’s yours?  Hello, I’m Joe Laber, The Social Barista and Branding Expert coming to you from my A Cup of Media home studio in Troy, Ohio. Welcome to A Cup of Social where I aim to give you simple and easy-to-use tips for leveraging the power of Social Media to help grow your customer or donor base.  I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses and nonprofits engage with their audiences on Social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s.  The growth of Facebook continues to blow my mind.  It’s still the #1 used social platform by a social media mile.  With over 3 billion monthly active users it’s still the social giant.  In my opinion if you operate a business or nonprofit you should take posting consistently on Facebook seriously.  It’s a platform that allows you tag, share, and connect the best.  From setting up events, to fostering engagement, and the ability to schedule posts it’s super flexible and fun.
