    Busy Mind | Judging Others

This is a rant on things that have been on my mind the last few weeks. This episode was hard to get started. I was nervous and got more comfortable about two thirds into it. I pretended to be comfortable in social events, parties, work meetings. But inside I was struggling; afraid of being judged and saying something stupid. Then I read a book called Quiet by Susan Cain. This book changed my life.  I am learning and want to share this messy stuff about myself and the world. I hope you find this useful.   Want to learn more about your personality? "What makes you different is your power" Jeff I met Jeff and Tommy at the 2018 #OREIA convention in Cincinnati (a real estate investors event) Jeff and I connected because we both relate to having some social anxiety of large crowds and events. This is Jeff's story.  Jeff Rabinowitz facebook.com/damntherecessionbiggerpockets.com/users/pharmerjeff Tommy Desmond  tommydesmond.com/blogfacebook.com/tommydesmond  Memorable quotes:  "What makes you different is your power" Jeff “Some of the most intimate reserved things designed to be hidden from the world...when you show it to everybody...the fear gets destroyed ” Tommy “No one reaches out to you for compassion or empathy so you can teach them how to behave better. They reach out to us because they believe in our capacity to know our darkness well enough to sit in the dark with them.” Brené Brown “To increase our tolerance for discomfort … you practice being uncomfortable” Brené Brown  Mentioned:  renegadedetroit.com/podcasts/story-time-with-jeff/story-time-with-jeff-ep15-originsbiggerpockets.com/blogs/4527-con…private-lenderron-phillips.com oreiaconvention.com lisabilyeu.libsyn.com  About this podcast: I was afraid to be myself for years.
