Introducing The Real Enemy of Performance Is Fear | Dr. Mark McLaughlin from The School of Greatness. Follow the show: The School of Greatness The best in the world don't have high self-esteem. They have none at all. That single idea changes how you think about confidence, pressure, and every story you tell yourself before something hard begins. This conversation features Dr. Mark McLaughlin, a neurosurgeon who has performed over 1,000 brain surgeries and 8,000 spine surgeries and is the author of Cognitive Dominance: A Brain Surgeon's Quest to Outthink Fear. He built a protocol for dismantling fear in the exact moment it shows up, tested across two and a half decades of operating on the human brain. He walks through the four quadrants every hard moment falls into, from flow to what he calls the all is lost quadrant, and why naming which one you're in changes what happens next. Show #545- How to Know When Love Is Genuine

In this episode, we're talking about how to know when the love you receive is actually genuine. Love is not just what someone says. Real love shows up in actions, consistency, care, honor, restraint, and self-control. It is easy for people to say they care, but genuine love is revealed over time through how they treat you, how they listen, how they show up, and how carefully they handle your heart. We talk about the difference between words and actions, why consistency matters, and how love should reflect the heart of God. Genuine love does not manipulate, disappear, dishonor, or constantly leave you questioning where you stand. Genuine love is patient enough to listen, mature enough to be consistent, and humble enough to handle you with care. Scriptures mentioned: 1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Romans 12:10 "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." Matthew 22:37–39 "Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Whether you're navigating friendships, dating, family, leadership, or community, this conversation will help you recognize what genuine love looks like and why the love God calls us to give and receive is rooted in truth, honor, and care. Show #543 Why Strong Women Struggle to Trust

In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about something a lot of people feel but don't always say out loud. A lot of strong women didn't just become strong, they had to be. Life forced them to grow up fast, figure things out on their own, and protect themselves. Over time, that strength turns into armor. And while that armor keeps you safe, it can also make it really hard to trust people. In the first half, we talk through the real struggles. What happens when you've been let down too many times. Why independence starts to feel safer than letting someone in. And why it can feel like people need you, but don't actually love you. We also get into how success and strength can attract the wrong people, especially those who admire you at first but later feel threatened by you. Then we shift the conversation. In the second half, we talk about what healing actually looks like. You don't have to choose between being strong and being soft. You can be both. We walk through how to heal old wounds so you don't project them onto new people, how to have discernment without becoming cynical, and how to let consistency, not just words, rebuild trust over time. We also talk about choosing emotionally healthy people and understanding that vulnerability is not weakness. It is wisdom when it is given to the right people. At the center of it all, we come back to this. God is the only one who can truly redefine what safety looks like in your life.   Tap in, subscribe and join the conversation!
