Charming: A Charmed (Reboot) Podcast

This podcast is the only reason I’m still watching the show Charmed! I know they’ll have a thoughtful take on all the ridiculousness happening in the show. This podcast gets me to think deeper about the plot of shows & I appreciate the knowledge they bring about how tv shows are made; it helps make sense of how the show ended up here. Sometimes I do skip forward through rambling, but this recap podcast fits the niche I’m looking for in a way that no other podcast does!

This is one of those cases where I can understand the reviews that say they go on too many tangents, etc. etc., but to me, this isn't the only podcast that's recapping, reviewing, and breaking down Charmed. What makes this one especially fun IS Beth and Abbey, their unique perspectives and their personalities. And yeah, I love the tangents, generally speaking. They even made me care (for a hot minute) about Game of Thrones discussion!

As someone who came to the original series during the 3rd season and has been embarrassingly obsessed with it ever since, I love this podcast! I don’t always agree with the assessments and wish I were there so I could bring my perspective but their opinions are so fresh and honest that I’m always intrigued by what they have to say. And I’m still listening to them opine on the original series. I haven’t even gotten to the episodes for the new (dare I say ‘reconstituted’ lol) series. I can’t wait! Thank you ladies for indulging one of my favorites and encouraging my 50 year old, inner, fangirl💕

I respect those whom have their own opinion but this podcast feels like hate watching and when you have more negatives than positives it makes the experience haphazard for the listener. There is criticism and then there’s bashing and these two egg each other on while having a very limited thought process beyond their critiques. Disappointed as both women are funny and witty but as someone who understands Charmed as a flawed but watchable show it’s off putting listening to a podcast not even trying to be interested in its viewerships standpoint at all.
