    409. Beşiktaş 3-0 Erzurumspor | Trossard Opens His Account as Black Eagles Soar!

    Despite Dusan Vlahovic' controversial suspension, Beşiktaş cruise to a convincing 3-0 victory over Erzurumspor at the Tüpraş Stadyumu, comfortably beating last season’s 1. Lig champions in a dominant performance. The Black Eagles started strongly and came close to scoring inside the opening two minutes before Emirhan Topçu opened the scoring in the 21st minute, heading home from a corner with a perfectly placed finish. Leandro Trossard then scored his first goal in a Beşiktaş shirt since arriving from Arsenal this summer, with Oh Hyeon-Gyu providing the assist. The second half saw Beşiktaş frustrated by the officials as two goals were ruled out in quick succession. Trossard thought he had scored his second of the night, but the goal was disallowed following a handball in the build-up by Emmanuel Agbadou. Shortly afterwards, Václav Černý also found the net, only for his goal to be ruled out for a very soft foul. Beşiktaş eventually got their third through substitute İlhan Faki̇li in the 81st minute, heading home after an assist from Amir Murillo. Despite the disallowed goals, Beşiktaş were thoroughly dominant and could easily have won this match 4-0 or even 5-0.     Beşiktaş have made a HUGE statement in Türkiye! 🦅 The Black Eagles came from behind to defeat Fenerbahçe 2-1 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, producing a dominant second-half performance to secure all three points in Vincenzo Italiano's first Turkish derby. The first half was fiercely contested, with Beşiktaş creating some of the best chances from open play. However, a costly error following a throw-in allowed Fenerbahçe captain Milan Škriniar to put the hosts ahead in the 26th minute. Beşiktaş responded in style. In the 38th minute, Leandro Trossard produced a sensational trivela pass to release Rıdvan Yılmaz, who made no mistake with an excellent finish to bring the Black Eagles level just before halftime. Then came the second-half masterclass. Beşiktaş raised the intensity and completely took the game to Fenerbahçe. Despite several excellent saves from goalkeeper Ederson, the pressure finally paid off in the 73rd minute. Junior Olaitan played Orkun Kökçü through on goal, and the Beşiktaş captain showed incredible unselfishness by laying the ball across for Dušan Vlahović, who calmly slotted home to make it Fenerbahçe 1-2 Beşiktaş. The Black Eagles had several opportunities to put the game beyond doubt, but Fenerbahçe refused to go quietly.     407. Beşiktaş 6-2 Çorum | VLAHOVIĆ ANNOUNCES HIMSELF!

    The Black Eagles are flying! 🦅 Beşiktaş put on a spectacular attacking display at the Tüpraş Stadium, crushing Süper Lig newcomers Çorum 6-2 in a goal-filled thriller! Dušan Vlahović stole the show, scoring a sensational hat-trick on his first Süper Lig start for Beşiktaş. The Serbian striker opened his account from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute after captain Orkun Kökçü selflessly handed him the ball to take the penalty — a perfect way to get his first league goal. Beşiktaş had already taken the lead in the 9th minute through Václav Černý, before Vlahović doubled the advantage just before half-time. Çorum briefly threatened a comeback in the 52nd minute when Diomande unleashed a rocket from outside the box to make it 2-1. But any doubts about the result quickly disappeared. Vlahović struck again in the 59th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 66th, sending the Tüpraş Stadium into celebration. Substitute İlhan Fakılı then made it 5-1 in the 73rd minute and later provided the assist for Amir Murillo to make it 6-2 in the 83rd. Çorum had pulled another goal back in the 77th minute through Mahmic, with former Beşiktaş player Cengiz Ünder providing the assist. And there was almost even more drama at the end!     Beşiktaş have qualified for the UEFA Europa League league stage, despite suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kauno Žalgiris in the second leg of their playoff tie. The Black Eagles progress 3-1 on aggregate following last week's convincing first-leg victory. In Episode #406 of The Black Eagles Podcast, Kaan Bayazit and the panel break down the victory, the Europa League qualification and, most importantly, Beşiktaş's fascinating UEFA Europa League league stage draw. Vincenzo Italiano opted to manage his squad in Lithuania, with captain Orkun Kökçü rested and Leandro Trossard left at home, while Dušan Vlahović made his first start for Beşiktaş. The Black Eagles appeared content to conserve energy, control the game and protect their aggregate advantage rather than take unnecessary risks. However, after Tiago Djalo's mistake allowed Kauno Žalgiris to score in the 64th minute, questions emerged about Beşiktaş's response. Despite going behind, the Black Eagles never really pushed the accelerator and ultimately accepted the 1-0 defeat. Was this simply smart game management with qualification already effectively secured, or does it expose a worrying inability to increase the intensity when necessary? But one particular draw has immediately raised a major issue. ⚠️ BEŞİKTAŞ, UEFA & THE ISRAELI FIXTURE Beşiktaş have once again been drawn at home against an Israeli opponent. That inevitably brings back memories of the 2024 UEFA Europa League match against Maccabi Tel-Aviv, when Beşiktaş were deprived of their home advantage and forced to play the match at a neutral venue behind closed doors. The justification at the time was that sufficient security could not be guaranteed for the travelling Israeli side. The result was that Beşiktaş effectively lost one of their four home fixtures and were forced to play without their supporters. With Hapoel Be'er Sheva now drawn as Beşiktaş's home opponent, there are already serious questions about whether history could repeat itself. Will UEFA once again remove Beşiktaş's home advantage?     405. Alanyaspor 1-0 Beşiktaş | The Alanya SCREWJOB!

    Beşiktaş suffer their first defeat of the 2026/27 Süper Lig season after a highly controversial 1-0 away loss to Alanyaspor, conceding their first goal of the campaign in a match dominated by contentious refereeing decisions. The Black Eagles once again struggle in Alanya, with Beşiktaş still unable to win at Alanyaspor since their title-winning 2020-21 Süper Lig campaign. But this latest defeat will be remembered for the controversial officiating of referee Adnan Deniz Kayatepe. Within the opening 20 minutes, two major decisions went against Beşiktaş. In the 8th minute, Alanyaspor defender Aliti appeared to deliberately strike Leandro Trossard in the face with his palm while the ball was nowhere near the incident. Despite VAR reviewing the incident and speaking with the referee for more than a minute, Aliti was not sent off nor did he receive a yellow card. Then, in the 19th minute, Oh Hyeon-Gyu appeared to score a perfectly good goal, only for the referee to disallow it after again Aliti went down during the build-up. Later in the match, a very similar duel involving Dusan Vlahovic did not result in a penalty, raising serious questions about consistency in the officiating. Beşiktaş dominated much of the first half and looked the stronger side, pressing effectively and repeatedly winning the ball during the first and second waves of their press. However, Salih Özcan was forced off after taking a knock, and Beşiktaş's pressing intensity dropped dramatically after his substitution in the second half. Alanyaspor began enjoying much longer spells of possession in the second half, eventually breaking through the Beşiktaş press too frequently. Their pressure finally told in the 73rd minute when Lima headed home from a corner to make it 1-0. The first game the Black Eagles concede under Vincenzo Italiano in 7 official matches. Beşiktaş pushed for an equaliser, with Dusan Vlahovic seeing two efforts saved by Alanyaspor goalkeeper Paulo Victor. There were also numerous shirt pulls and physical challenges that went unpunished as the referee allowed play to continue. The match ended 1-0 with zero cards shown, adding another layer of controversy to an already frustrating night for Beşiktaş. Is this simply a bad refereeing performance, or did Beşiktaş genuinely get screwed over in Alanya? There was also a major moment for new signing Dušan Vlahović, who made his Beşiktaş debut in the 61st minute. The Serbian striker nearly marked his first appearance with a goal, rising to meet a header that looked destined for the net before Kauno Žalgiris goalkeeper Edvinas Svedkauskas produced an excellent save. Beşiktaş completely controlled the match, finishing with 75% possession and an xG of 2.68 compared to just 0.08 for Kauno Žalgiris. It was a performance in which Beşiktaş never really needed to hit top gear, with the Black Eagles seemingly able to control the game without ever having to seriously push the accelerator.
