A friend turned me onto the show about half a year ago at this point as he knew I was big in Pink Floyd’s pre dark side era, specifically Atom Heart Mother, he directed me to the Meddle episode and I was hooked on the show. And since then I’ve become a casual listener of The Moody Blues (Days of Future Passed thats about it), to definitely a fan of the band from this show as well. Their love for that band was quite infectious and let’s say I’ve now heard all of the “Core Seven” albums (and still rank Days of Future Passed as their best with To Our Children’s Children’s Children right behind it and In Search of the Lost Chord the number 3 spot).
Anyway with a variety of hosts and opinions and personalities, you’re in for a good time whether you just stream the episodes of albums you know and love while dipping your toes into new waters with episodes on albums you don’t but might interest you like me, or just check an episode or two out, or go all in, you won’t be disappointed.
Ps to the hosts: recommendations for episodes include a dedicated ‘Weird Al’ one (In 3-D or Bad Hair Day?), Tarkus, the rest of the core seven MB albums, some more Grateful Dead and/or Green Day, and (I know this is a long shot lol) Atom Heart Mother.
