    Discipline

Reset: A 6 week study Pastor Ray Peoples  Sunday October 11, 2026 Titus 2:11-12 Grace says God's way is good and I can Trust in Him Proverbs 22:15 The foolish heart needs more than better behavior Foolishness believes lies about God and ourselves Proverbs 1:7 5 lies we tell ourselves:    I know better than God   What I know matters most   His authority is keeping me from good   My choices won't really cost me   I can fix myself without God's help. Proverbs 3:5-7 Learn to Listen Beneath the Behavior Luke 6:45 listen to the heart to know where to correct.  What does this behavior reveal?    What were you wanting?   What were you afraid would happen,    What is most important in this moment? Ephesians 4:25, 28-29 Loving Correction Teaches Wisdom and Begins with Us  Ephesians 6:4 Colossians 3:21 And I using my God given authority to teach wisdom or release frustrations?  Correction Needs a Wisdom Teaching Posture  Christ Gives us New Hearts and Grows us in Wisdom  Hebrews 12:3-11 God disciplines us for our own good and growth comes when we accept that The Grace That Saves Us Also Trains Us  1 Corinthians 1:30 Titus 2:11-12 Grace gives us a life that doesn't live under the lies of our old life. Grace is the Reward of God's undeserved favor  James 1:5 We must parent towards Jesus

    Expectations

Sunday October 4, 2026 Associate Minister Jeff Kirk  Matthew 6:14-15 Matthew 5:23-24  Transactional - if/then statements that teach us how to live and the expected outcomes 5:12 forgive us the things we've done wrong as we need to forgive those that have done wrong to us  "Grace" is giving someone the reward or benefit they do not deserve. Our own unforgiveness can turn off the Grace that only God can give The Divine Link - salvation is NOT tied to works, it is a Gift that is freely given. Unforgiveness is a uniquely human trait. We should be reflecting Christ's Love on the world. Romans 5:8 A Prison of Bitterness - unforgiveness hold back bitterness like a dam and doesn't change the offender but it changes you and your relationship with God.  Looking To the Cross  Matthew 18:21-35      Forgiveness Is A Choice Living Free - God expects us to use His example for our own lives  Don't let your actions speak so loudly that your words can't be heard. Choose intensionally to walk in God's Grace

    Authority

Sunday September 27, 2026 Associate Pastor Jeff Kirk Deuteronomy 6:4-9 God is the Ultimate Authority       He knows what is best for us Authority Comes First... Them Comes A Choice  James 4:7 Luke 22:42 Proverbs 3:5-6 How do YOU respond to authority in your life? How we respond tells our children how to respond... Matthew 11:28-30 Ephesians 6:4 Proverbs 22:6 3 questions: Can you trust God's character and His Love for you?  How would fully submitting to God change your life?  Where are you holding back control right now...today?

    Identity

Reset: A Six Week Sunday September 20, 2026 Pastor Ray Peoples Identity  Ephesians 2:1-10 Remember Who You Were: Someone Who Needed To Be Rescued We were dead when filled with sin and separated from God. Jesus changed that.  Behavior modification cannot erase spiritual death.  Galatians 2:20 But God... Christ steps in at the turning point in my life. This is Grace.  Like 15 - Jesus gives us the picture of Grace in the story of the prodigal son. The son returns to the father full of guilt and shame (v21). He expected to have to earn his way back but the father loves and restores him to his rightful position (v24). God rescues, forgives and restores our lives when we return to Him.  Grace does not call darkness light instead Grace tells the truth about sin while letting the die open for restoration Ephesians 6 - discipline comes from Love. Understand Who They Are: God's Workmanship, Not Ours Eph 2:8-9hcsb We should parent from an indentity secured and rooted with Christ  Galatians 2:20  You are loved, you are forgiven, you are alive, you are created for all the good that God placed in you.

    Becoming A Gospel Parent

Reset: A 6-week sermon series  Sunday September 13, 2026 Pastor Ray Peoples Psalm 127 Who is building my life?  Who/what is shaping my influence? Where is my life being aimed?  Psalm 127:1-5 God Must Be the Foundation! Let God build your life. Are you allowing Him to join you on building your life?  God's Word Reshapes our Convictions Trust God with What You Cannot Control  Faithful Work is Different From Anxious Striving  Prayer Reveals Where Our Trust Truly Rests  Philippians 4:6-7 Rest is An Act of Faith Rest and sleep are an act of surrender  Psalm 121:3-4 Children are not possessions to control, projects to complete or achievements to display. They are gifts from God whom parents are called to love, disciple and eventually release. And even if you don't have children, you are still "parenting" those around you thru the examples of God's work in YOUR life. If you aren't rooted in God, you can't point others to him. Talk about Him in all you do, especially the ordinary moments. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 Aim Your Influence Towards God's Purposes

    The Leadership-Replicating Church

Acts: The Church on Mission Pastor Ray Peoples Sunday August 30, 2026 An overview of where we've studied in Acts Acts 1:8 you received the Holy Spirit to be witnesses to the end of the earth to share Jesus Christ Acts 20:17-24 Serve the Lord faithfully wherever He has placed you. How am I serving the Lord with my WHOLE life? Every day you're on mission! What is the church here for? The mission of God.  Matthew 5 Let your light shine and give glory to your Father who's in heaven  Tears and trials can and will happen. Didn't let that deter you from HIS path. Carry the whole Gospel courageously to everyone around you  Don't shrink back from the Truth!! This does not say you will all become preachers, but all WILL be witnesses. Don't hesitate to talk about Jesus.    Who is Jesus?   What has Jesus done (in your life)?   What is the Gospel?    How has Jesus changed me?  Find your answer to these questions and you have what to talk to people about  Mission happens publicly, but also house to house  Jews and Greeks means people like us AND people unlike us (whenever you see this) We sinned against God, we cannot rescue ourselves and God sent Jesus, who was executed, buried and rose again to forgive my sin  We must continually repent of our sin  Who, in my normal rhythm of life, needs to let Jesus in their life? Don't shrink back when Jesus opens the door for you to share.  Help shepherd and strengthen the people God has put around you Acts 20:28 The whole church cares for the whole church Galatians 6:2 Hebrews 10:24-25 1 Thes 5:11 Mission begins with abiding!  Acts 20:29-31 Help protect one another from drifting away from Him  Acts 20:32 Build up one another with Grace. Share Scripture, prayers and fellowship with others, inviting them into you life to Walk in God's Grace Live generously for the mission  Every part of your life should be generous! What kind of person does the mission of Jesus require ME to become?  You are sent and on mission every place you live.
