As we journey through the life of Joshua, we are reminded that every day presents us with choices. We can choose to remain stuck in the pain of the past or arise and go into what God has ahead. We can choose to abide in Him, remain faithful, remember His goodness, and take a clear stand for the Lord. Joshua’s legacy was not simply what he accomplished, but the choice he made to serve the Lord — and to lead his household in doing the same. The question for us is: If our lives were a map for the next generation, where would they lead them? May our lives point our families, our children, and everyone we influence toward Jesus.
