Episode 10: Become Who You Say You Want to Be

In this last episode of the season of the Strategies to Cope podcast, we’re getting real about discipline, micro-commitments, self-trust, relationships, our environment, and the uncomfortable truth that our lives often reflect what we consistently prioritize when nobody is watching. We’ll talk about why believing your efforts matter is essential to persistence, why you don’t have to control the outcome to choose your direction, and how small promises to yourself can create lasting change. If something in your life isn’t working, maybe you don’t need to blow everything up, you might just need to run a new experiment. Change one or two things. Reassess. Learn. Reset. Try again. We’ll also talk about investing in yourself, choosing quality over quantity, reassessing relationships, creating healthy environments, learning to pause instead of react, and recognizing when you’ve stayed somewhere long enough to gain the skills, but long enough to lose yourself. And through it all, we’ll bring it back to God, because this isn’t about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It’s about becoming more intentional with the life you’ve been given and taking the next right step. Scriptures to sit with: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV) Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 (NIV) 🧠 Stress Less Skill of the Week: The Daily Alignment Check Ask yourself: What did I do today that moved me toward the person I want to become? What moved me away from that person? What’s ONE tiny experiment I can run tomorrow? You don’t have to change your whole life today. Change something. Keep one small promise. Reset quickly. Take the next right step. And remember… Suffering sucks, but God is so good. ❤️
