On this extra-length interview edition of the podcast we welcome special guest Joey Weiser (writer and artist for Eisner nominated 'Mermin' & creator of 'Ghost Hog') to give us an insight into making comics, early anime initiation, preserving cels and appreciating classic Japanese cinema. Joey was also essential in introducing Lupin to Cleon so he's partially responsible for this podcast being on your feed! We also discuss the part controversial, part acclaimed movie from 1987 'The Fuma Conspiracy', where we discuss jet-pack ninjas, shoujo Goemon and whether Zenigata really does have a secret family living in the Hida mountain region. Also, Ben spends some time staunchly defending this movie's questionable soundtrack, and Cleon's brain short circuits towards the end.

Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse we watch the live action Lupin movie from 2014 and spoiler alert, it's a stinker. The podcast takes a dark turn as we grapple with the idea of a bad piece of Lupin media and how this movie even failed to be a good bad movie. We also discuss the origins of vampires in the Lupin-verse, and in celebration of the dub for Lupin Part II being released on streaming, we pepper this episode with delightful snippets of what could possibly be the only English dub as bad as 4Kids One Piece.
