People Keep Dying

They cover some lesser-known and international cases, and the content is mostly interesting. The delivery is not great. They don’t speak clearly and constantly talk over each other. They don’t consistently speak into the mics. One of them has excess saliva. Feels like listening to two ladies on the train having a conversation. Not polished but they do have some tea so you listen anyway.

I’m a podcaster myself and always trying to find others to listen to that have a good vibe. Since I do disasters, I like this one because they do cover some lesser know disasters. It’s what I call a casual podcast. These are my personal favorite. Interesting information, kind of feels like you’re chillin with the host(s) while they tell the story. I saw some negative reviews and personally don’t get the complaints. Sounds more to me that this just isn’t their jam - which to me isn’t against the podcast and podcasters - but more about personal taste. Keep on keeping on with this cast.

I started listening to the Virginia tech episode. It seemed well researched , but the delivery is pretty bad. Looking though the reviews I see I’m not the only one hung up on the “ T “ and “ TH “ sounds pronounced as a “ D”. There was a lot of talking over each other and horrible speech issues. I know it sounds a bit picky , but I just couldn’t get past it to listen to the episode any further

The constant “ums” and pronouncing “t”s as “d”s is super annoying. Not everyone can produce a quality podcast, and these ladies haven’t raised the bar above a D+. The cases are decent, but strange and random hosts have no real connection to the cases or ability to weigh in on critical issues. Basic editing would help, as well as some speech therapy, maybe even stepping slightly away from the mic (slobbery speech is never a good sound). Hard pass on this podcast.
