    It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of in-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' California road trip, Tristan Jarry getting back in the net, the Saturday's matchup against San Jose, line combinations, and more. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about how the Oilers will build their lineup after guys start getting healthy. Given that there are four more players inching towards their return, the guys worked through the options and tried to figure out how the lineup will take shape. Of course, not all of these guys are going to come back at the same time, which makes the exercise a bit of a crap shoot but still fun nonetheless. Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to the Oilers' win over Anaheim on Wednesday, and how Devon Levi was a star between the pipes yet again. Had it not been for Levi's brilliance early on, the Oilers might have been down by four+ goals. Thankfully, Levi was dialled in and gave his team the foundation they needed to come roaring back and win that hockey game. From there, the guys discussed how the big boys are firing on all cylinders already, and whether it's a problem or not that the depth players still aren't scoring consistently.     It's Tuesday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' 3-1 win over Seattle, injury updates, looked at the upcoming road trip, line combinations, and more. We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the Oilers' upcoming California road trip, and what the team needs to do against three Pacific Division rivals. Whether it's consistent goaltending or doing a better job taking care of their own end, the most important thing the boys could do is take care of the small details. As you'll hear, the boys started on the delicious debate before being immediately distracted by Gavin McKenna's early struggles in Toronto. Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to the Oilers' line combos after news came out yesterday that Jason Dickinson is nearing a return. Obviously, having him back in the lineup would be huge news for Edmonton's defensive game and penalty kill, provided that he actually gets back on the ice. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' home-and-home against the Canucks, offered their takes on the chaos, the Saturday's matchup against Seattle, line combinations, and more. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about which goaltender was better after both goaltenders got lit up in very real ways through the first two games of the year. Given that neither goalie was able to get themselves to an .80o save percentage, it was interesting to hear the boys try and figure out which of the two was better. But when you've got two guys with a combined 13 goals against, choosing which guy was better can be increasingly difficult. Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to the disastrous defensive effort the Oilers put down in the first two games of the season, and how it was almost hilarious to watch given how much they spoke about playing better in their own end. While there are plenty of things that need to get cleaned up and injuries all over the lineup, the reality is that this team needs to figure things out as quickly as humanly possible to avoid digging a hole for themselves. Doable? Certainly. Likely? Only time will tell. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' season opener, the early injury issues, previewed tonight's game, line combinations, and more. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the Oilers' injury news that came out today, including Ryan Nugent-Hopkins being out for a couple of weeks and Matt Savoie being upwards of eight weeks away. Toss in the fact that Jason Dickinson also isn't ready to go, and you've got a whole lot of bad news piling up before the season has even started. Needless to say, hearing that so many key players are out of the lineup already is... less than ideal. Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to Tuesday's season opener against Vancouver, starting with Tristan Jarry getting the start and the newly formed line combinations after all of these injuries. While injuries can happen at any time in the NHL, it's not exactly great that all of Edmonton's plans they had for their lineup in the offseason are already being shifted around. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Alex Formenton being signed by the Oilers on Wednesday, and how the decision to bring him to town caused all kinds of noise around the franchise. For a lot of Oilers fans, the backstory on the player should have eliminated the opportunity play on the best league on earth. While the noise was certainly loud from the fanbase, the reality of the situation is that the team does not care.  Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to a discussion about training camp, and whether there are any players who have a chance to make an impact and steal a spot. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about which Oilers player the fellas are most excited about as bets to bounce back or have a strong 2026-27 season. Whether it's Trent Frederic having a better year in Edmonton or Jason Dickinson doing what he can to improve the power play, the fellas had plenty of options for players who could have a larger impact on the roster. We also discussed a player like Josh Samanski taking a step forward this season even though many Oilers fans are already bullish on what he might do. Shifting gears, the guys turned the podcast to a discussion about Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl playing together on the first, and whether or not Stan Bowman's plan makes sense for the team as its currently built.
