OMEN Investigations

I honestly never thought I’d ever find an RPG Play podcast that I’d enjoy. Every single one turned me off after a couple episodes - but OMEN hooked me almost immediately. It’s very different from all the others I’ve heard so far. For one, the episodes are short: I don’t need to find an hour or three in my day to follow along a storyline as well as gameplay and new rules depending on what game is being played. And then, the MAIN thing I love about OMEN is the audio production. The sound effects, and the way they interact with everyone as the story progresses made it SO much easier to follow compared to the other series I tried to get into! And finally there’s the other thing I love about OMEN - and that’s how the focus is on the story, and how the party interacts with the story. The characters we come to know, and appreciate, in time: but it’s the STORY that kept me coming back - until before I knew it, I was hooked! And THAT is why I love this podcast - and why I hope I’ll find some others that will do the same for me.

The sound design is fantastic, the humor is just my taste - simultaneously smart and absurd without being gratuitously obscene. I really appreciate their exploration and honesty in learning about each others’ cultures as it plays out in the game. The voice acting one-offs are hilarious, too. The story is the just the right amount of creepy and fantastical. Definitely recommend as a subscribe and regular listen. I’m at s1ep27 and will be a bit sad when I catch up, can’t binge, and have to wait for new episodes like everyone else. Keep up the good work! Stay vigilant! -Caleb Chaotic Amateurs

I have not heard a podcast that revolved around a mystery solving team saving the world! The characters are very interesting and entertaining! Bravo! - Richard (Bad Rad Movies)
