    The Wrap - Mental health resources for employees

    May is Mental Health Awareness Month. To celebrate, The Wrap employee podcast brought on experts from across the university to discuss the importance of mental health and the resources our team members have to protect theirs.  Kelcey Stratton, the Chief Behavioral Health Strategist at U-M, first explained what mental health is and how it manifests — whether through anxiety, depression, OCD, addiction and more. Next, Whitney Begeman from the Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience, joined to talked about her office’s programs, while Bri Carpenter from MHealthy broke down her team’s offerings, ranging from workshops to cooking classes, tobacco cessation programs and more.   It was clear from the conversation that mental health, physical health and well-being are all closely tied together.     Nursing at Michigan Poster Day returns May 7, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Towsley Center, as a highlight of Nurses Week at U-M Health.   Members of the Nursing Poster Day organizing committee joined The Wrap to discuss the many opportunities surrounding the event.  Explore over 60 posters, connect with colleagues, catch podium presentations and join the awards ceremony.
