Sound Of Hockey - Seattle Kraken Hockey Podcast

Love the podcast. My husband introduced you to me after the kraken expansion was announced & obsession began in our household. Over the past 2 seasons specifically -listening to you has been a ‘sneak away for an hour , go for a drive together date’- yes we were at SOH fest and I over excitedly introduced us / greeted you this then! All three of you have the ability to elaborate on the finer details without making any newer to the sport fans feel dumb. Your insight is highly anticipated each release , and your flirtation with hope/reality is refreshing & sets you apart. You’ve heard it before, but each episode feels like a chat between friends. - But , yes, let’s keep golf Darren’s dirty little secret. Loving how physical Seattle has been through the first 4 preseason games and so looking forward to your vibe check. Thanks for everything you guys do. Also happy 4th wedding anniversary Dustin! MEGA Thank god for #NHLtoSEATTLE

As someone who only got into watching hockey after going to a Kraken game in the inaugural season, this podcast & the website (that is Sound of Hockey Dot Com) taught me so much about the beats of the season/the sport. Love the interviews, segments, occasional guests, and hockey commentary combined with the great personal conversations between the hosts that get Kraken fans through even the toughest times. The only downside is that after listening to too many of Darren’s golf game updates, I think I got Stockholm Syndrome because I recently signed up for a learn to play golf class

Darren mentioned getting a colonoscopy a few episodes back, and all I can say is don't wait. I had my first one done right before my 48th birthday back in February this year. They discovered a tumor and I've spent most of 2026 being treated for the cancer they found. It's sucked, but a bright spot in all of it has been my enjoyment of The Sound of Hockey. The banter between Curtis, John, and Darren is just great. The intro of non-hockey related talk is actually very nice. Just three dudes sitting around talking about stuff and then BAM! Hockey talk. The analysis on what's going on with the Kraken, and my favorite segment, "Down on the Farm ... Mooooo!" make for an informative and entertaining show (though I wouldn't be mad if you spoke more about the Coachella VALLEY Firebirds). If you aren't listening to Sound of Hockey and you're a Kraken Fan ... I mean can you really call yourself a Kraken fan? Just go listen! Keep up the great work guys. Let Curtis cook, and shout out to Mr. Dean for encouraging me to write this review.

Decent fan podcast. Tend to ramble a bit. Generally positive which I like, but I think they take that too far and it prevents them from offering criticism when called for.
