E329 - Israel Adesanya washed status: CONFIRMED | UFC Seattle reaction and recap

Joe Pyfer defeated Israel Adesanya and I don't know what to do with my life. Now Joe Pyfer is a top five middleweight. Do with that information what you will. Chapters: 0:00 Joe Pyfer vs Israel Adesanya reaction 10:05 Alexa Grasso vs Maycee Barber reaction 16:23 Lerryan Douglas vs Julian Erosa reaction 19:10 Yousri Belgarous vs Mansur Abdul-Malik reaction 21:13 Tofiq Musayev vs Ignacio Bahamondes reaction 23:30 Ricky Simon vs Adrian Yanez reaction Joe Pyfer defeating Israel Adesanya was not on my 2026 bingo card yet here we are. Joe Pyfer never should have had a chance to win this fight. But Father Time is undefeated. He always comes calling. And for Israel Adesanya, he's called a couple times. But now, here we are. Joe Pyfer has put himself right in the middle of some very difficult fighters and he will have to fight several of them. After being knocked out by Joe Pyfer, we also have to ask if Israel Adesanya should retire. Long in the tooth, Israel Adesanya is on a 1-5 run dating back to his loss to Alex Pereira. But the losses are coming easier and easier, and also more brutal and more brutal. Joe Pyfer caught Israel Adesanya. Now 36, we have to admit that the best Israel Adesanya is far behind us. It is time to hang them up. Alexa Grasso also dominated her opponent, Maycee Barber, with one of those finishes that you don't wish on anyone. While we did unlock a new combo, the 1-2-RNC, it looked like Maycee Barber was brutally hurt, or worse. Alexa Grasso is back in the win column after two straight losses. Now she must continue to win and earn her way back to the title. Lerryan Douglas is a new player at featherweight. He brutalized Julian Erosa. Erosa is no slouch and Lerryan Douglas made that look super easy. Keep an eye on this one. #ufcpodcast #mmapodcast #ufcseattle

E328 - Movsar Evloev beats Lerone Murphy on the worst card ever | UFC London reaction

Movsar Evloev snagged a controversial win over Lerone Murphy at UFC London. The card, itself, was terrible. The main event, not bad. With Paramount being their new customer, not us, we must let Paramount know, loud and proud, that what we've been seeing is not good television. Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy were the story of the night, the most important fight on the card. With a title shot on the line, the urge was on both fighters to show up and show out. Movsar Evloev's solution to this was to be a striker, not the wrestler that he truly is. At the end of the day, despite a point deduction, Evloev got the win. While it was close and many are calling robbery, the fight was close but not a robbery. The big story on the night, however, was Michael Venom Page and Sam Patterson. While Lerone Murphy and Movsar Evloev are not the most exciting fighters, they looked like Justin Gaethje compared to what they brought to, which was nothing. Michael Venom Page did nothing, Sam Patterson did nothing. Neither fighter actually fought. If that ain't the UFC, nothing is. #ufcpodcast #ufclondon #movsarevloev

E326 - Kevin Vallejos dominates Josh Emmett, stakes claim at 145

Kevin Vallejos makes his statement as he puts away Josh Emmett in under a round. Now we have to look at the future for Vallejos and what could be next. 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! We just never knew that he was this good. His win at UFC Vegas 114 was nothing short of spectacular. With his biggest win yet under his belt, Kevin Vallejos has bright things ahead of him. The featherweight division is in a state of flux and Vallejos hopes to be among those fluxing. This puts him in the conversation with the Melquizael Costas, the Jean Silvas, and the Lerone Murphys. Now he has to kick through the door and prove he is deserving to be among names like those. Gillian Robertson also had a fantastic win. She beat Amanda Lemos in a hard fought battle. But there are holes in her game and when it comes to the top five, Gillian Robertson will have her own struggles. Tatiana Suarez is a nightmare, as is Weili Zhang. Now that she's in the top five and has a five fight winning streak going, Gillian Robertson faces the hardest part of her career. There are truly elite fighters that wait for her in the upcoming few fights. Her winning will put her among the best. Losing will end her career as one of the top 10 gatekeepers of the division. Myktybek Orolbai is a problem. Taking on a former middleweight in Chris Curtis, Orolbai ragdalled his opponent at UFC Vegas 114. The variation and relentlessness from Myktybek Oralbai was brutal and how a grappling based approach should be. He hunted damage, submissions, mat returns, and gave Chris Curtis no room to breathe whatsoever. He may not be top 15 yet, but at welterweight, Myktybek Orolbai is going to be a force to be reckoned with in a division where the depth of talent is already enough to drown a young prospect. #kevinvallejos #mmapodcast #ufcvegas111

E325 - Charles Oliveira proves everyone wrong (even me)

Charles Oliveira dominated Max Holloway at UFC 326. Now we have to admit defeat and talk about how "do Bronx" proved everyone wrong. 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! Many, myself included, thought this fight was going to be insanely difficult for him, as are most fights with Max Holloway. Instead, Oliveira dominated and proved that he's still got a lot left in the tank. He left Max Holloway wondering what was happening to him. This was something nobody has ever done to the former featherweight champion. Now Charles Oliveira has so much lined up for him. There's Conor McGregor, Arman Tsarukyan, Benoit Saint-Denis and perhaps even an Ilia Topuria rematch. Caio Borralho beat Reinier de Ridder to cap off the middleweight tournament that meant nothing. After his loss to Nassourdine Imavov, Caio Borralho improved by going first, going often and leading the charge against Reinier de Ridder. Reinier de Ridder was too basic in his approach and didn't have a plan B to do anything that Borralho didn't want him to do.  Raul Rosas Jr also had a rankings berthing performance. He defeated Rob Font. But the win was more Rob Font not being good than it was Raul Rosas was bad. Font fought terribly, over extending and giving up the takedown to the wrestling-heavy Raul Rosas. Chiwiws didn't make an appearance but Raul Rosas showed he's getting better. #charlesoliveira #oliveiravsholloway #mmapodcast

E324 - "Lone’er Kavanagh is the new breed" - UFC Mexico reaction

What do you know, we called it. Lone'er Kavanagh went into Mexico City, Brandon Moreno's back yard, and took home a decisive win. What is next for England's standout? 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! Out is Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja. In is Lone'er Kavanagh and Joshua Van. The new era of 125 is one that's younger. Lone'er Kavanagh's win over Brandon Moreno was a perfect example of that. He was calm, controlled, and despite the odds being against him, on point all night. Lone'er Kavanagh beat Brandon Moreno at his own game. Moreno was too content to striker with the younger, faster 26 year old. He got picked apart with his wild swinging punches and at the end of the day, suffered a defeat because of it. The change in opponents did not do Brandon Moreno any favors either. He wasn't able to wrestle offensively to his liking and it let Kavanagh back into the fight. Now the eyes are pointed forward. Where does Lone'er Kavanagh sit come Tuesday when the new UFC rankings come out. There are options: Manel Kape, Kyoji Horiguchi, Alexandre Pantoja, Brandon Royval. Whoever Lone'er Kavanagh fights next, it will be one step closer to a title shot.

E323 - Sean Strickland was always going to win

Sean Strickland defied all odds and knocked out Anthony Hernandez proving that, despite how he talks and fights, he's still a top tier middleweight. 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! Episode 008 is out now: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx7TZlIVGhDZ_TpnOtVEVSXmkpr_ViExz&si=J8DZ9G6a-RvTaMOv 🥊 Boxing channel: Youtube.com/@UCFN50W4bPM2xdW78XLyv2fQ  📰 Substack: fightlibrary.substack.com Chapters: 0:00 Why Sean Strickland beat Anthony Hernandez 5:45 Sean Strickland is so frustrating to fight 8:22 Sean Strickland vs Khamzat Chimaev The plan was simple: If Sean Strickland can get the jab going early, he can slow down the snowball effect-style that Anthony Hernandez uses. That's exactly what happened. Fluffy had no way of getting inside and getting to a clinch. And when he did, he lacked the ability to finish the takedown there. Sean Strickland used this to his advantage and kept doing what he always does. It's that jab and the teep that make Sean Strickland so frustrating to fight. He's had success against great fighters, like Israel Adesanya, but also laid some stinkers (Alex Pereira, Kamaru Usman). Strickland's frustrating style has carried him far and brought him the title. This is why he's been successful. He knows what he does and sticks to it. There's no getting too fancy. There's hardly any deviation. Just discipline to what got him to the dance. That brings us to the big question: Khamzat Chimaev. Chimaev looks indomitable. Invincible even. Does Sean Strickland really have what it takes to dethrone the Chechen champion? We don't personally think so. Then again, we thought Anthony Hernandez and Israel Adesanya would beat him too and look how that turned out. There's no real point in saying "Strickland loses to Chimaev, don't even book the fight." We have to lock them in the cage and find out for ourselves.

E322 - People Are Underestimating Sean Strickland Again

Sean Strickland seems like he's doomed against Anthony Hernandez. But there is more than meets the eye when it comes to this fight. Today we sit down with Vince Morales, the UFC bantamweight contender, to discuss the main event of UFC Houston.🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! For a good reason. But Sean Strickland is unlike any other fighter in the UFC's middleweight division. Vince Morales and Blaine Henry talk about the main event, approaches to how the fight should go down, and what makes this fight interesting.Sean Strickland's tools to stifle the pressure of Fluffy are effective, that we already know. We saw Kevin Holland use push kicks to slow down Anthony Hernandez early on and, while that fight was short, Strickland can use those same weapons to extend the fight and work his game. Should he be able to hurt Anthony Hernandez coming forward, the pressure will subside. That said, we still lean Anthony Hernandez. Sean Strickland is on his way out and Fluffy is on the way up. His pressure is suffocating and if he can deal with the two weapons from Sean Strickland that give him trouble, he can have a standout performance. Anthony Hernandez vs Khamzat Chimaev is the most interesting fight in the division. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.#stricklandfluffy #ufchouston #seanstricklandvsfluffyhernandez
