E331 - “Diego Lopes is just not good enough” | UFC 325 reaction

Diego Lopes was dominated again by Alexander Volkanovski. The fight was one sided and you could have put the first fight on and nobody would have known the difference. 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! The fight was not as much of a challenge as the first fight and old man Volkanovski did the job as he always does. Between the first and second fight, Diego Lopes did not get good enough. He struggled to find meaningful offense against Alexander Volkanovski and now he's in the back of the line. But we have to have a conversation about how good Alexander Volkanovski is in the legacy of the sport.  The co-main event of UFC 325 was a Benoit Saint-Denis win over hometown favorite Dan Hooker. Dan Hooker had a good plan at the start but in the end, it didn't even matter. Benoit Saint-Denis struggled with the initial gameplan of Dan Hooker but he overcame the body kicks and got Dan Hooker to the ground. From there, it was only a formality. Mauricio Ruffy also had a great finish after some adjustments against Rafael Fiziev. Fiziev is a tough fighter for anyone and Mauricio Ruffy had a hard task in front of him. Ruffy was pushed to the fence and was incredibly uncomfortable. But once he settled in with the pressure from Rafael Fiziev, he knocked out the Muay Thai sensation and notched his career best win.

E330 - Diego Lopes vs Volkanovski with Luke Thomas - UFC 325 preview

Diego Lopes is rematching Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 325 and Blaine Henry asks Luke Thomas “For what?”🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! Both Luke Thomas and Blaine Henry do not agree. Diego Lopes showed that he's a very good fighter and that he can compete with the best. While we're both cold on Diego Lopes rematching, the fight itself isn't a bad one at all. With Alexander Volkanovski aging and the precedent set by Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett last weekend, UFC 325 has a main event primed for action.Beating Jean Silva had a bunch to do with the title shot for Diego Lopes. Jean Silva was promised a title shot if he won. Instead, he was finished by the Brazilian title contender. Now Diego Lopes gets the chance at redemption against Alexander Volkanovski. Not much seems like it changed for Diego Lopes. Watching him versus Alexander Volkanovski and, subsequently Jean Silva, doesn't show much change. Luke Thomas points out that Alexander Volkanovski is a completely different fighter from Jean Silva as well. We will find out what happens in a few short days at UFC 325!

E329 - Justin Gaethje is a different type of fighter - Blaine Henry reacts to UFC 324

Justin Gaethje reclaimed the interim lightweight title at UFC 324 as he battered Paddy Pimblett to start the Paramount era. Chapters: 0:00 Justin Gaethje vs Paddy Pimblett 14:04 Sean O'Malley vs Song Yadong 19:37 Jean Silva vs Arnold Allen 24:15 Umar Nurmagomedov vs Deiveson Figueiredo Justin Gaethje got that dog in him. He dared Paddy Pimbett to do something different, to be tough. While Paddy Pimblett was tough, it wasn't tough enough. Justin Gaethje beat Pimblett from pillar to post. He claimed the interim title and presumably a date with Ilia Topuria for the undisputed title. Paddy Pimblett, while not elite, showed that he is still a great fighter at UFC 324. He just ran into legacy, one that couldn't be denied. Sean O'Malley bounced back from his back to back losses to Merab Dvalishvili as well. He fought Song Yadong at UFC 324 and was simply a step ahead the entire time. To beat a cerebral fighter like Sean O'Malley, Song Yadong needed more than one approach. Unlike Justin Gaethje, he couldn't hammer his way home to such a tactician. Sean O'Malley is likely rematching Petr Yan now and the bantamweight division churns on. Jean Silva bounced back from his loss to Diego Lopes as well. He beat a tough Arnold Allen soundly and showed the world that he's among the best featherweights in the world. Like Song Yadong, Arnold Allen couldn't change gears, do something different. That allowed Jean Silva back into a fight he was losing after the first round. Now Jean Silva is back and he's shown that the title is still within his grasps after his win at UFC 324. This card provided lesson after lesson. Umar Nurmagomedov was seen as another potential contender to Petr Yan. He was to fight Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 324. While the cage was locked behind both men, one would struggle to call it "fighting." The fight was boring to say the least. Umar Nurmagomedov was content to coast and Deiveson Figueiredo acted like he didn't know he was supposed to try.

E328 - Nobody Believes in Paddy Pimblett (Yet)

Paddy Pimblett has the most to win at UFC 324. He's facing off with Justin Gaethje and life can either be great or miserable for Paddy Pimblett. 🎞️Check out Fight Finders, my docuseries! Arman Tsarukyan and Ilia Topuria should be fighting this weekend. They're clearly the best two lightweights in the world. Justin Gaethje has a case to be made. But Paddy Pimblett doesn't deserve the title shot he's been granted. But he will look to seize the opportunity this weekend as he tries to claim the interim lightweight title. The fight with Justin Gaethje is very nuanced. On paper, Justin Gaethje should maul Paddy Pimblett. The UK does everything wrong for Gaethje to exploit. But Justin Gaethje hasn't looked great lately. He's 37, on the tail end of his career. This fight is compelling not because it's the two lightweights in the world. In fact it is compelling in spite of that. UFC 324's main event is compelling because of the nuances like Paddy Pimblett's size, Justin Gaethje's age, and the arrival to Paramount for the UFC. Perhaps the biggest question is that of Paddy Pimblett's resume. He's beat great names on paper: Bobby Green, Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler. But the caveat is that they're all old, out of their own primes. Justin Gaethje is kind of that, too, but not seen the same. Paddy Pimblett is still seen to be taking his biggest test at UFC 324. So make your pick. Who wins at UFC 324? Does Paddy Pimblett continue his unlikely rise or will Justin Gaethje get one more crack at undisputed UFC gold? #ufc324preview #paddyjustin #gaethjepaddy

E326 - “Manel Kape leapfrogged Tatsuro Taira” | Blaine Henry reacts to Kape vs Royval

Manel Kape puts a bow on 2025 and the ESPN era with a massive knockout over Brandon Royval. Just a week after it seemed like Tatsuro Taira was to be next to challenge for the title, Manel Kape comes and shakes things up. He batters up Brandon Royval, remains cool under pressure, and gets the first round finish. Brandon Royval, a perennial contender, met his maker as Manel Kape finished him, the first to knock him out if we discount the Brandon Moreno fight (shoulder injury). Manel Kape will now challenge Joshua Van for the flyweight title.Kevin Vallejos just earned himself a ranking in the featherweight division. He knocked out Giga Chikadze with a spinning back fist that was absolutely electric. Now Kevin Vallejos joins the new blood of 145 with Jean Silva (rematch, pls?), Steve Garcia, Youssef Zalal and more. Kevin Vallejos is a problem in the division, however. He's now ranked and will make his case to move up for the title in an aging division.Melquizael Costa snagged a fourth win on the year. He knocked out Morgan Charriere in a massive way to put a stamp on his most successful year to date. Another fantastic addition to the featherweight division alongside Kevin Vallejos, Melquizael Costa is making his own path. Morgan Charriere drops another big fight and further proves that, while exciting, he's not top level as a fighter and serves as a launching point for fighters like Melquizael Costa and Chepe Marischal.Buchecha, the trillion time BJJ champion, made his sophomore walk to the octagon. He took on Kennedy Nzechukwu and was bailed out by the ever-cheating Kennedy Nzechukwu poking him in the eye. Buchecha doesn't have what it takes to be an elite fighter in the UFC despite his jiu jitsu acumen. That said, let's not cut him. I want to see he and Gable Steveson go at it in an MMA fight.#royvalvskape #kapevsroyval #manelkapevsbrandonroyval

E325 - “Merab Dvalishvili lost because of his hubris” | UFC 323 reaction

The fight with Merab Dvalishvili seemed like a foregone conclusion after the two’s first meeting. Instead, Petr Yan stole the show at UFC 323, recapturing the throne that was once his after an illegal knee saw him abdicate said crown. He approached the Merab Dvalishvili fight with a perfect gameplan that exploited the Georgian’s heavy schedule in 2025. Alexandre Pantoja also saw his reign come to an end, but on the most gruesome of terms. Only 26 seconds into his fight with Joshua Van, Alexandre Pantoja dislocated his elbow and it a gruesome sight. Joshua Van becomes the second youngest champion in UFC history and Alexandre Pantoja’s arm is pretty much shot. Brandon Moreno was handed the task of fending off new blood for the flyweight division, Tatsuro Taira. Taira was one fight removed from his close fight with Brandon Royval. Many thought he had nothing for the ever-scrambly Brandon Moreno. The first round didn’t look promising. But the second saw an adjusted Tatsuro Taira who went in, got the finish, and got out. Now, knowing Alexandre Pantoja’s injury, it seems Tatsuro Taira has set himself up for a title fight at UFC 323. Payton Talbott took Henry Cejudo out to the pasture at UFC 323. The Olympic champion made it clear that this was his final fight and Payton Talbott had no qualms beating up the old man. Talbott looked incredible. He was on point striking and his grappling against the former Olympic champion made the loss to Raoni Barcelos a distant memory. Look out, Payton Talbott is a problem at 135. #petryanvsmerabdvalishvili #yanvsmerab #merabvspetryan

But Blaine Henry and Miguel Class think that “The Machine” is on the decline. But Petr Yan may not be the one to beat him this time around. While Petr Yan will likely look better at UFC 323 than the first fight, don’t bank on him dethroning Merab Dvalishvili. We’re not saying it’s impossible, but we are saying that Petr Yan hasn’t shown the tools to beat Merab Dvalishvili. Merab Dvalishvili is slowing down, but he’s going to defend his title a fourth time this year.In the co-main event, Alexandre Pantoja is defending his title against a newcomer to the flyweight division. Joshua Van made huge waves on the scene after his barn burner war with Brandon Royval. Now, he’s stepping up to the plate against the kingpin of the division. Joshua Van is great but Alexandre Pantoja is no joke. He marched down Kai Kara-France, fighting like a maniac. Joshua Van will have to either harden in the fire, or he will be consumed by it. UFC 323 will be a king making of the Burmese contender or a confirmation that Alexandre Pantoja is he.We also will touch upon Brandon Royval vs Tatsuro Taira, Henry Cejudo vs Payton Talbott and the rest of UFC 323.
