    The Attack Is Real. But It’s Not the Whole Truth. What do you do when you’re following God and still find yourself surrounded by the enemy? In this message from 2 Kings 6, Pastor DJ looks at Elisha’s encounter with the Syrian army and four powerful truths about facing opposition. Sometimes obedience attracts resistance. Sometimes what we see is a fact, but it isn’t the whole truth. And no matter how overwhelming the attack appears, God is still the ultimate authority. But perhaps the biggest lesson comes in how Elisha responds to his enemies. Instead of destroying them, God leads him toward an unexpected response that ultimately brings peace. Before you react to what’s coming against you, ask God to open your eyes. There may be more happening than you can see, and God may have a bigger picture in mind.

    Sow What?

    What if God answered your prayer with a seed instead of a harvest? In this message from Galatians 6:7-9, Pastor DJ explores the biblical principle of sowing and reaping and what it means when God’s answers don’t look the way we expected. We often ask God for peace, joy, growth, stronger relationships, and change, expecting Him to hand us the finished product. But sometimes God gives us a seed and invites us to trust Him through the process. Through Galatians 6 and Jesus’ words in John 12:24, we discover that growth often requires something to be planted, buried, and even die before new life can emerge. If you’re in a season where you can’t see what God is doing, don’t give up and don’t dig up the seed. What feels buried may actually be planted. The season you’re in may not look like the answer you prayed for, but that doesn’t mean the answer isn’t growing.

    Question & Response at The River
