    A Young New Winner on TOUR and Carlos Benavidez

    The newest PGA TOUR Hot Shot has arrived, the end of "RORY," and content creator Carlos Benavidez. The 3M Open had World #1 Scottie Scheffler losing to a guy who has only been on TOUR for the last three events, and now we're asking how many Majors we expect Jackson Koivun to win. The LPGA Scottish Open champ finally climbed back into the winner's circle after more than ten years, but now all eyes are on the AIG Open Championship and if Nelly Korda can claim another Major this year. The Champions TOUR had their Senior Open Championship as Jerry Kelly claimed his third Major victory since joining the senior circuit. Alex and Michael wrap up "RORY" by Alan Shipnuck, as McIlroy finally climbs the mountain, and then we start asking about his legacy. Alex is enjoying the cooler weather in Illinois, as Michael returns from New Hampshire and shares a MAJOR life update. In Tuned In, Michael get's to check out two Frank Lloyd Wright houses in New Hampshire, while Alex catches comedian Pete Lee. This week's guest is Carlos Benavidez, the co-founder of L&C Productions. Carlos, who was last on the podcast over four years ago, talks about how he's found success as a videographer working with golf-focused brands and content creators filming in the Austin TX area. LeBron James has made his "final decision," and Alex seems a little miffed on the point of it all. NFL's Training Camps are starting up, and Alex's Patriots look poised to forget about whatever happened this summer.     Drama in Europe and Nicole Felce

    Drama at in France, Scotland, and America in the golf world, plus PGA Professional Nicole Felce on making the cut at the KMPG. The LPGA's Amuni Evian Championship went to extra holes as Haeran Ryu beats Brooke Henderson for her second straight major. The Genesis Scottish Open had a lot of names at the top before Tom Kim claimed the joint event with the DP World Tour. The alternate ISCO Championship also went to a playoff as Steven Fisk was able to outlast Taylor Pendrith. Alex and Michael continue with chapters 17 and 18 of "RORY" by Alan Shipnuck, as Rory becomes the defecto public spokesman for the PGA TOUR over LIV Golf, and continues to be the guy who just can't win majors anymore. This next week Michael is headed to New Hampshire to visit his home state for a week, while Alex drives north to Illinois for his annual month-long stay near Chicagoland. In Tuned In, Michael is watching Nic Cage in "Spider-Noir" while Alex is watching the final season of "The Bear." Plus, a preview of the quietest two days in sports this week. This week's guest is Nicole Felce, the first PGA Professional to make the cut at the KMPG PGA Championship in 7 years.     Chris Gotterup wins again, the Celtics trade away for nothing, and Lauren Miller from The Golf Performance Academy. Chris Gotterup won for the third time this year at The John Deere Classic, and Michael asks is he's making a case for Player of the Year. The PGA TOUR crosses the pond for the Genesis Scottish Open, where the game's best get one last warmup before The Open Championship. The LPGA is also in Europe as they play another major, now the Amundi Evian Championship, and Alex makes a pick for one of the game's best to finally claim a major. Alex and Michael look at the new few chapters of "RORY" by Alan Shipnuck as part of this summer's Book Club, as LIV Golf is formed and the game enters its "Course of Life Podcast" era. America turned 250 this weekend, and Alex and Michael celebrated in their own special ways. In Tuned In, it's all about Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce at MSG in NYC. This week's guest is Lauren Miller, a former collegiate and professional golfer who has turned to growing the game at The Golf Performance Academy. Lauren shares her favorite moments from her playing career, and how the Golf Performance Academy is getting today's youth more than prepared for a future of pro golf. Alex's Celtics traded away the franchise's centerpiece (for almost nothing), while LeBron James is shopping for a new team after leaving the Lakers. Michael's Yankees are losing right and left and he's prepared for the end times as the skid shows no signs of slowing down.     Nelly and Scottie Don't Win

    Nelly and Scottie don't win their respective big events, the PGA TOUR announces a new system, and Phil Mickelson's reputation unravels. Nelly Korda couldn't get the Nelly-slam to continue as she finished T-8 and Haeran Ryu claimed her first major title at Hazeltine for the KMPG Women's PGA Championship. Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland battled it out all weekend and into Monday for a playoff as Scottie blew away a chance and Hovland claimed the Traveler's Championship in Connecticut. The PGA TOUR announced its anticipated new 2-track system for 2027, raising many questions about its viability and the future of the Korn Ferry Tour. Alan Shipnuck penned a new article that dropped Friday which highlighted Phil Mickelson and his recent sexual escapades that show the six-time major winner becoming more and more scandalous at golf clubs around the United States. As Alex and Michael continue reading RORY for their summer bookclub, they tackle chapters 11-13, which features Rory's breakup from Tennis Champ Caroline Wozniacki, winning the Open and dad Gerry collecting on his 10-year bet, and a massive wedding. Alex is finding himself to be handy with his car, something he finds unusual for his lack of handiness. In Tuned In, Michael finally watches the 2001 classic "Legally Blonde," while Alex is still loving the surprise of Europeans visiting the US for the World Cup. Michael brings back the Childhood Throwback to celebrate the life of Mel Brooks, the film director who turned 100 and is best known "Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein," and "The Producers."     Wyndham Clark goes wire-to-wire, the LPGA heads other Hazeltine, and Alex Loskoski of Chippopotamus Golf. The 2026 US Open at Shinnecock Hills had a lot of wind, a lot of high scores, and Wyndham Clark, the most hated man in golf, claiming another major title. Alex and Michael look at the weekend and wonder if the crowd's disdain for Wyndham went too far. The Meijar LPGA Classic had a crazy come from behind winner in a playoff as the women now head to Hazeltine for the KMPG PGA Championship (and then the Amundi-Evian, and then the Scottish Open, and then the AIG Open Championship). Can Nelly Korda rattle off wins in the final three majors? Alex is going to Denver to check out Red Rocks for a concert, and breaks down his plans for a quick trip to the Mile High City. In Tuned In, Michael can't get over the European's amazement in the mundane things in America, while Alex shares a review of the new movie, "Disclosure Day." This week's guest is Alex Loskoski, the founder of Chippopotamus Golf.     Bud Cauley wins, the New York Knicks win, and a preview of the 2026 US Open. Bud Cauley, after 238 starts and almost losing his life in a car accident, climbs the mountain and wins the 2026 RBC Canadian Open. The LPGA's Dow Championship had an American duo claim their first wins on Tour at the women's team event. The 2026 US Open is this weekend at Shinnecock Hills, and Alex and Michael look at the carnage we should expect, pick their favorites, and which long-shots are worth your time. The guys continue reading "RORY" by Alan Shipnuck in our summer Book Club, reading along as Rory makes a mark for himself in the amateur game and breaks through quickly after going pro. Outside of golf, Michael shares how horrible it is to have a sleep study, while Alex is enjoying a glass of wine while standing next to a rhino. In Tuned In, Michael shares an update on his board game challenge this year, while Alex is loving the show "Friends Keep Secrets." The New York Knicks have done it, reclaiming the NBA crown after over 50 years. Alex admits that they are a lot better than he wants them to be. Nelly Korda was calm and collected up until her around-the-world winning put at the US Women's Open. A playoff gave JT Poston his fourth PGA TOUR Victory at Jack's Place, the Memorial. LIV Golf plays one more time, and Dustin Johnson's hole-in-one celebration is nothing if not unemotional. The Longest Day In Golf was Monday as players around the US tried to get into the US Open, including past podcast guests and Tiger Woods connection. Alex and Michael kick off this summer's Book Club with "RORY" by last week's guest Alan Shipnuck. The guys share their favorite tis-bits from the first few chapters, including Rory's confident beginnings in Hollywood. Alex is enjoying life in Texas including having a party on a boat and exploring a charming German town. In Tuned In, Michael enjoys the finale of "America's Culinary Cup," while Alex is preparing for the World Cup. This week's guest is Peyton Cranford, a content creator and the Internet's Cart Girl. Peyton chats with Alex about what it's really like to be serving drinks on the golf course, her grossest request she's ever received on the course, and how she got in on the Content Creator's Tour. The NBA Finals are rolling towards a Knicks championship, but Alex is just hoping the series isn't over by this time next week. In the NFL, the Giants bring back a favorite wide receiver, and Patriots make a big trade, and Alex wonder's if the Giants would trade with the Pats as well. Michael's Yankees are hurting as big names hit the IL, but Alex is counting down the days to the NFL season.
