If you’re a fan of garbage opinions by garbage people, this is the podcast for you. It would be better if the Swede was from Norway.

Just like the Star Wars-esque hosts of The Weekly Substandard/Sub-Beacon podcast, the trio of Christopher Haberman, Ryan Kinney, and Thomas Lassi can also be compared to Star Wars movies. The Star Wars prequels. The Phantom Habermenace is the founder of the Substandard Expanded Universe, the entity from which this podcast sprung fully formed through the intersection of midi-chlorians and pure evil (so I’ve heard). He is a wise sage a la Qui-Gon Jinn, but his friendly nature can also be easily compared to that of little Anakin. Attack of the Kinneys is the sturdy core of the trio. His dry sense of humor and love of wooden movie quotes shines through each episode. He and his Kinney army guard against the dangers of racist babies, rabid dogs, and northern Europeans. Revenge of the Swede is the podcast’s de facto host, his exotic nature setting him apart from the rest of the group. The newly-titled Darth now lives in the sweltering heat of Mustafar, free to spread Scandinavian-style equality across to the galaxy. All in all, these three are garbage and everything about this podcast is sub-par. And yet it is a joy to listen each week and to have gotten to know these gentlemen on Twitter and in person over the past year plus. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
