The Dracula Files
Suppose Dracula never went to London in 1883. Suppose he waited and planned and instead set his hand against the city of San Francisco. Living in 2014, Jonathan Harker never imagined the nightmare that would engulf him when he traveled to the backwaters of Romania to complete a real estate deal with the reclusive Count Dracula. Cut off from friends, phone reception, and even basic electricity, Jonathan discovers too late that he’s walked blindly into a deathtrap. Back in San Francisco, the first signs of Dracula’s coming reign of terror begin to appear, but its residents, unaware of everything Jonathan has learned, forge unwittingly ahead towards disaster. The Dracula Files is a 3-season, found-recording style audio drama. Our first season is available as a Podcast during the month of October.

Literally the best adaptation of Dracula I’ve ever encountered. The voice acting is full of emotion and drama and the sound effects add a very interesting layer. I wish there were more episodes! Even still I’m telling all my friends to check this one out!

Modern version going parallel with the original storyline. Well narrated. I listened to it during a long stormy night drive and gave me the goosebumps.
Great adaptation

As a fan of the original novel, I have a high standard when it comes to adaptations. This one does not disappoint. It perfectly walks the line between creative liberty and faithfulness to the source material. I appreciate the clever approach to modernizing the “found footage” model of the original, and even though I know what’s going to happen, I can feel palpable suspense through the perfectly timed use of silence and sound effects.

Super pumped to have this fantastic piece of storytelling available. I hope it blows up. If you like solid stories in a warm and immediate medium, then you’ll love this.
