Boring Books for Bedtime is a weekly bedtime story podcast for the sleepless, the stressed, the anxious, the insomniacs--anyone who struggles with the endless brain chatter that keeps us up at night.

In each episode, we calmly, quietly read something that's rather boring. Think Galileo, Aristotle, Emerson, and whoever wrote the 1897 Sears Catalog. If you're on Team Sleepless, lie back, take a deep breath, and let us read you to rest.

This podcast is amazing! But...

This is my favorite podcast but it’s kinda annoying that you take a deep breath and do all that ready for the book, then the shout outs come in. It would be nice if you did the shout outs before the deep breath so the listener is calm and ready. I hope you please change this in later episodes thank you and this is a great podcast!

The Characters of Theophrastus

One of your BEST! Full of food for thought -- and happily, it's the kind of dreamy thought that makes you fall asleep. Listen to it once at night, and you'll drift off in 5 minutes. So listen again in the daytime, because it really IS interesting, from the 1902 (!) Introduction, and all the way through.

Great sleep aid!

I work an irregular work schedule and it’s hard to come home and wind down to get to sleep. These usually help, but sometimes I get interested in the book. So I find the ones that don’t interest me and listen to those. It works well because I fall asleep more quickly with those so they don’t seem repetitive because I didn’t hear much of them the other times I listened to them.😔Keep up the good work!!!!!!!
