    Episode 22 "PRAY FOR NICK SPANNER

    Nick and Louise are dear friends and fellow participate in "The Following". Nick is one, in series, of "strong men" God has provided to speak into my life.  Jim Kennedy, Gene Warr, Alvin O Turner, John Duthie, Dr Dean Williams, Nick Spanner, Peter Goulstone, Brian Pankhurst, Kirk Humphreys and Virgil Coffee are "to a man" Followers of the Lord Jesus. They have provided me  with counsel, direction and protection. They all had huge, dominant personalities but also humble hearts and a willingness to invest their lives in me. That's why I'm asking all to pray for Nick and Louise Spanner, Pray that God would, by His Mercy and Grace, grant Nick sufficient number of days to complete all that you have for him to do.  May you give Nick and Louise an abundance days, together, to fully develop the love for each other that you gave life. When you look around the world today it looks like they did a pretty good job. Today we arrive at the beginning of the transformation from a tiny Jewish sect to a global movement.They needed a leader.Peter Stood Up.

    After Pasta-A conversation with Seth Lester

    Our son Seth dropped around for pasta after  church. I used the opportunity to have a brief chat about The Following. Seth is one of the smartest, well read and theologically formed people I know. He takes after his mother. I asked him to give some thoughts about the challenge of trying to get back and behind the 2000 years of commentary and religious forms and imagine ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with the first "followers".
