    Why I'm Leaving That Projector Life

    It's been almost 6 years since I started the That Projector Life podcast, and it's been a wonderful few years of growth, learning, and change. However, this is the last episode. I've finally felt the push to release That Projector Life and close up shop. And now that I've decided to cut cords, my Martyr line is adamant that we do it sooner rather than later. So while I realize this decision may seem out of the blue, I feel it's been a long time coming. I don't feel like I can give TPL much more, and I'm ok with that. I've had a good run here, and Human Design has helped me become more comfortable and happy with who I am. I believe I've done what I set out to do - create something I'm proud of, express myself authentically, and guide others along the way. I also feel the winds of change blowing me elsewhere (of course, I have no idea where specifically...just not here). And being me, I have to follow that path. It's also a little exciting to once again step into the unknown and find my way from scratch. This podcast - and the business around it - has been such a huge part of my life for so long that I will miss it. However, it's time for me to close the book on this chapter of my life. I'm ready to rest deeply. I'm ready to discover a new path. And I'm ready to release this wonderful creation. The podcast and the TPL website will remain available for a while longer. I would like them both to serve as a resource for as long as possible. I'll also open up the TPL Patreon to the public sometime in November.     What Happens If You Can't Accept an Aligned Invitation?

    We spend a lot of time as Projectors waiting for an aligned invitation to come along. But what happens when one does come along, but you can't accept it? How do you handle that? Does not being able to accept an aligned invitation mean that you're doomed to a life of bitterness? (Sorry. I had to be dramatic there.) It does not. In this episode, we'll talk about what happens if you can't accept an aligned invitation. We'll also look at how you can handle or view this event.     How to Have Fun With Human Design

    We're diving into a lighter side of Human Design today. Let's talk about how to have fun with this system. Because the Human Design system is about how to live life in a way that's unique to you. It's a great way to open up to your energy and really begin to honor it. But so often we tend to get caught up in the technicalities. (Think: Am I doing this right? Is that my authority? What does waiting for an invitation mean?) And when we get stuck in our head, we tend to lose sight of just how fun it can be to play around with something that's meant to bring enlightenment to us.     206. Exploring the Dark Side of Authority

    It's time to look at our authorities from a whole new angle: The Dark Side! (Cue Star Wars reference.) Authority is a huge deal in Human Design. It's one of the first things we learn about, and it's one of the things that we return to constantly when it comes to making decisions and living in alignment. But sometimes our authorities aren't always as helpful as we think they are - whether because we misinterpret them or allow them to stray into less than healthy behavior. This episode is going to dive into the different ways each authority can stray into its shadow. You may never experience the dark side of your authority, and that's great. But if you think that something is off, or that you're not feeling quite yourself, reflect on how your authority is showing up.     205. How to Handle Inspiration (or a Lack of It)

    In this episode of That Projector Life, we're looking at inspiration and the difference between mental inspiration and energetic inspiration. Have you ever felt like you have all the ideas - that everything is inspiring? Or maybe you've found that nothing is inspiring. You have no mental energy to pursue anything. I'd like to introduce you to the Head Center and mental inspiration. It's a necessity in life - it's what's given us so many great ideas to run with. However, mental inspiration can be a fickle mistress, especially when you have an undefined Head Center (and I am definitely speaking from personal experience here). So how do you handle mental inspiration (or a lack of it, since that's what you'll likely have after deconditioning the Head Center)? What can you do to remain inspired while still being in your own energy? This is where energetic inspiration comes in.     203. The 3 Unique Stages of Understanding Human Design

    In this episode of That Projector Life, we're walking through the 3 stages people move through when they learn about the Human Design system. (And of course, like most things in life, this can be a non-linear journey. And just like Human Design, there are many layers to these stages.) So we'll look at how our understanding of the system changes - and how our approach to it changes as well - from beginning to end. When we start with the system, we'll all about the facts and figures. We want to know all the things and we want to know NOW. There also tends to be a hint of doctrine here - we follow what other people say religiously. But over time, as we become more comfortable with the system and understand our energy better, we tend to move past the "just the facts" approach and step into the second and third stages - both marked by unique challenges and understandings.     How the Tribe Works in Human Design

    In this episode, we explore the energy of the Tribe, the Tribal channels, and how they all work together to fulfill the Tribe's purpose: resources and survival. We'll start out by situating the Tribe in the larger picture of humanity as a whole and talk about the Tribe's purpose as it relates to the rest of the world. Then we'll move into each of the Tribal channels and place its energy in the larger story of how the Tribe itself functions. The channels play off of and support each other, and we'll trace the paths of the Ego Circuit and Defense Circuit as we explore the Tribe's energy. Finally, we'll spend some time talking about the highest expression of Tribal energy as well as the lowest expression of Tribal energy, touching on how and where the Tribe grapples with the not-self. The not-self is something definitely worth exploring, as we see a lot of Tribal not-self show up in our world. Ready to dive into the inner workings of the Tribe?
