The 4x4 Podcast - Who is God? (Like we could actually figure it out, but we tried.)

This is the first episode of season 2! We have just started a new round of groups with some good folks from all over the country! In this first episode, we talk about our new goals and have a great conversation trying to answer the question, "Who is God?"

  2. 03/30/2019

The 4x4 Podcast - Grace and a Certain Type of Unhitching (Yeet)

On this episode, the guys jump into the topic of grace and what it means for us and what it has done for us! Too often we try to limit the grace of God by putting our own spin on it or feeling like we need to do more than just simply receive it as the free gift of God! Grace frees us to be all that God has called us to be. It allows us to go further faster. And it gives us the handles to love the people God loves. Thanks for tuning in!

The 4x4 Podcast - The Only Thing We Have to Fear...

... is fear itself. - FDR We all know the quote. But have you ever stopped to think about it? Why is fear something to fear? We know the answer. Fear can be debilitating. It can keep us from doing all that God has called us to do. The "What If's" run rampant and hold us back from the life we have been promised through Jesus. We figured it was time to address it head-on. Thanks for tuning in! If you love it, share it!

  4. 01/17/2019

The 4x4 Podcast - Lectio Divina (Or, how to make your Bible come alive).

On this episode, the guys explore a spiritual practice called Lectio Divina. Lection Divina means divine reading and included four movements of scripture reading. The scripture used for this particular episode is Daniel 3:8-26. For a full write up on Lectio Divina, go here! --> http://fourbyfourmen.com/2019/01/17/lectio/ Thanks for tuning in and we hope you enjoy!

The 4x4 Podcast - The Battle in Our Minds (Put your big boy pants on for this one...)

The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12 to not conform to the pattern of the world. Rather, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The word 'transformed' is interesting here. It means a physical change. In other words, changes in our mind are reflected in our outward appearance. In this episode, the guys try to put some handles on what it means for their minds to be governed by the spirit, even when life has been the most difficult.

The 4x4 Podcast - The Why, What and How.

Welcome to the 4x4 Podcast! On this episode, the guys have reached the halfway point of their 4-month commitment and take some time to reflect on how it's going and why it has been so meaningful. Here's to another great two months! Interested in starting your own 4x4 group? All you need is 4 guys and 4 goals you want to accomplish. Also, you're going to need to want to #dohardthings.
