    #14 WCF 3:7-8 Of God's Eternal Decree

This exposition examines the Reformed doctrine of predestination, specifically focusing on the Westminster Confession of Faith's treatment of God's sovereign decree regarding the non-elect and the assurance of the elect. The speaker emphasizes that God's withholding of mercy is an act of justice that glorifies His power, while the extension of mercy to the elect is purely of grace, stripping believers of any grounds for pride. By referencing Romans 9 and 2 Peter 1, this episode argues that true understanding of this high mystery leads not to intellectual arrogance but to deep reverence, humility, and diligent obedience. It concludes by urging believers to find abundant consolation in the certainty of their effectual calling, ensuring that theological knowledge fuels praise and active participation in the local church rather than mere academic curiosity.

    #13 WCF 3:4-6 Of God's Eternal Decree

This exposition of the Westminster Confession of Faith explores the doctrines of God's eternal decree, predestination, and the immutability of God's decree. It argues that the number of the elect is fixed by God's sovereign will, independent of human effort, faith, or works, thereby ensuring that all glory belongs to God alone. The teaching emphasizes that salvation is a monergistic work of grace, where the elect are redeemed, effectually called, justified, and sanctified solely by the power of the Holy Spirit. By referencing passages such as John 17 and Ephesians 1, this episode defends the Reformed perspective that God's purpose stands unchangeable, closing the door to human boasting and affirming the security of those chosen in Christ.

    #12 WCF 3:2-3 Of God's Eternal Decree

This episode explores the doctrine of God's eternal and unchangeable decree, emphasizing that all events occur according to His sovereign will, rather than just His mere foresight of human actions. It refutes theological errors such as Arminianism and Molinism by affirming that God's knowledge is rooted in His own decrees, not external conditions. The episode highlights the dual outcomes of this decree: the predestination of some to everlasting life and others to eternal death, all for the manifestation of God's glory. This teaching serves to comfort believers by assuring them that salvation depends entirely on God's mercy and power, not human will. Ultimately, the episode calls for humility and trust in God's wisdom, recognizing His absolute control over history and individual destinies.

    #11 WCF 3:1 Of God’s Eternal Decree

This episode explores the doctrine of God's eternal decree as outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith, emphasizing that God sovereignly ordains all events from eternity past. The episode highlights God's immutability and simplicity, asserting that His will is free, unchangeable, and infinitely wise, thereby establishing a secure foundation for the believer's salvation. While affirming divine sovereignty, the text clarifies that God is not the author of sin and does not violate human responsibility or secondary causes. The speaker urges listeners to approach these profound theological truths with humility and awe rather than attempting to dissect them intellectually or use them as excuses for unbelief. Ultimately, understanding God's absolute control over history drives believers toward comfort in their faith and deepens their worship of the Almighty.

#10 WCF 2:3 Of God, and of the Holy Trinity

This episode explores the doctrine of the Trinity as defined in the Westminster Confession of Faith, emphasising the unity of substance among three persons of the Godhead. It warns against theological errors such as tri-theism and the misconception that Jesus left heaven upon his incarnation, affirming instead His immutable divine nature. The episode highlights the eternal processions, noting that the Father is unbegotten, the Son is eternally begotten of the Father, and the Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father and the Son. This teaching shows the distinctiveness of each person, that the Father is not the Son, nor is the Father the Holy Spirit, nor is the Son the Father or the Son. The discourse encourages a deeper study of historic creeds and terms to foster a faithful and precise understanding of God's being.

#9 WCF 2:1c-2:2 Of God, and of the Holy Trinity

This episode explores the divine attributes of God as outlined in the Westminster Confession, emphasizing His infinite love, mercy, and justice. The speaker highlights that God is all-sufficient and immutable, deriving no glory from creation but manifesting His own glory through sovereign dominion over all things. Key theological points include God's hatred of sin, His role as the sole fountain of being, and the necessity of worship arising from a correct understanding of His holiness. The speaker urges believers to rest in God's complete self-sufficiency rather than viewing themselves as benefiting Him. Ultimately, the exposition aims to lead listeners toward humble worship and obedience based on the revealed nature of God.

#8 WCF 2:1b Of God, and of the Holy Trinity

This episode explores the doctrine of divine simplicity, emphasizing that God is without body, parts, or passions. It explains that because God is not composed of parts, He is infinite, unchanging, and independent of any external dependency. The speaker contrasts this with created beings who are limited and subject to change, highlighting that God's lack of creaturely passions signifies His perfect and constant love rather than indifference to his people. By affirming attributes such as immutability and eternality, the Confession of Faith speaks of God's absolute sovereignty and wisdom. Ultimately, this episode encourages believers to find comfort in a God who is wholly sufficient and works all things for His own glory.

#7 WCF 2:1a Of God, and of the Holy Trinity

This episode introduces Chapter Two of the Westminster Confession of Faith, focusing on theology proper and the nature of God. The speaker emphasizes that there is only one living and true God who is infinite in being and perfection, distinct from idols or created beings. Key attributes such as purity, invisibility, and impassibility are explored to highlight God's transcendence over finite human understanding. This episode warns against reducing God to measurable concepts and encourages a deep, reverent study of His incomprehensible nature. Ultimately, the goal is to deepen the believer's awe and relationship with the infinite Creator.
