Episode 113- Doing Hard Thing Changes You

In this episode of Your Amazing Life, Colleen shares a personal reflection inspired by completing her first three-day water fast. This is not an episode promoting fasting or offering health advice. Instead, Colleen shares the lessons the experience revealed about mindset, perseverance, personal growth, and discovering that we are often capable of more than we believe. She reflects on what it means to pay attention to the messages that keep resurfacing, to give yourself room to improve when the first attempt does not go as planned, and to stop interpreting a difficult beginning as evidence that something is impossible. Most importantly, this episode is a reminder that you are worth the effort. You are worth the same commitment, consistency, energy, and excellence that you so freely give to your work, your family, your ministry, and the people around you. Whatever hard thing is in front of you, this conversation will encourage you to take the first step, rely on the strength and grace of God, and allow your progress to become evidence that you really can do hard things. --   FLASH SALE on tickets for the 14th annual Woman of Worth Conference (7/29/26-7/31/26) https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/the-14th-annual-woman-of-worth-conference-tickets-1995694245210   --   "The Menopause Reset: Get Rid of Your Symptoms and Feel Like Your Younger Self Again" by Dr. Mindy Pelz https://www.amazon.com/Menopause-Reset-Symptoms-Younger-Again/dp/B0C6W9CBM7  -- As a Registered Psychotherapist, Colleen has worked diligently, for more than a decade, to support people in achieving health, wellness, and personal growth. Episode 112 - When You've Started to Lose Hope

Have you ever found yourself slowly starting to lose hope? Not because you've stopped believing in God… But because you've been waiting. Waiting for healing. Waiting for an answer. Waiting for a door to open. Waiting for life to look different than it does today. In this episode, Colleen explores the story of Sarah in Genesis 18 and the honest tension between faith and feelings. Because sometimes two things can be true at the same time. You can deeply desire what God has promised and still struggle to believe it's possible. You can love God and still wrestle with disappointment. You can have faith and still find yourself asking, "What if it never happens?" Together, we'll explore God's powerful question to Sarah: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" In this conversation, you'll be encouraged to: • Understand why losing hope is a human experience—not a sign that your faith has failed • Recognize the difference between trusting your feelings and standing on God's truth • Learn why disappointment doesn't have to determine your future • Reflect on the promises you've quietly stopped believing for • Find the courage to trust God, even when your feelings haven't caught up yet Because your circumstances may have changed… Your feelings may have changed… But God's promises have not. If you've started to lose hope, this episode is for you. -- Be sure to leave a review and rating. Episode 111 - Signs You're Healing (Even If It Doesn't Feel Like It)

We hear a lot about red flags. The warning signs. The unhealthy patterns. The habits and behaviors that keep us stuck. And while it's important to recognize red flags, what if we spent a little more time paying attention to the green ones? In this episode, Colleen invites listeners to pause and reflect on the often-overlooked signs of emotional growth and healing. Because growth isn't always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like pausing before you respond instead of reacting. Sometimes it looks like no longer needing everyone to understand you. Sometimes it looks like sitting with difficult emotions, taking accountability without self-condemnation, or recognizing your triggers without shaming yourself for having them. In this conversation, you'll be encouraged to: • Recognize and celebrate the progress you've made • Identify green flags that may already be present in your life • Reflect on how you've grown emotionally, mentally, and spiritually • Consider what trusted people in your life might say about the growth they've witnessed in you • Create space for gratitude instead of focusing only on what's left to fix Because while there will always be more work to do, there is also growth worth acknowledging. Take a moment to pause. Celebrate the healing. Notice the progress. And don't overlook the green flags.
