    Generosity Glorifies God

Money is an ever-relevant, and sometimes controversial, topic of conversation. Jesus was not afraid of this reality, though, and in Mark 12:41-44, He speaks in a way consistent with His broader teaching, even as it is out of step with much of culture. Pastor Isaiah explains what Jesus says here in the context of the broader teaching of the Scriptures and the core Christian principle: Generosity Glorifies God. Preached on 09/20/2026

Seeing That Jesus Is The Christ (Week 33 - The Gospel of Mark)

Mark 8:27-33 is the literary hinge as Mark shifts from the ministry of Jesus in the Galilee region, toward His "Journey to Jerusalem" in the latter half of the book. Pastor Isaiah explains how Peter's confession of finally seeing the truth of who Jesus is challenges us as we consider the same question, "Who do you say that Jesus is?"

The Process of Progress (Week 32 - The Gospel of Mark)

In Mark 8:22-27, Jesus responds to the plight of a blind man who is brought to Him in very unexpected ways. Pastor Isaiah draws two key lessons from this text, challenging us to see Jesus as the God who may move in mysterious ways, but is always good, so we can grow in our faith by learning to trust Him and seek clearly spiritual sight as we navigate through even the challenges and struggles of this life.

Do You Understand? (Week 31 - The Gospel of Mark)

In Mark 8:11-21, the Pharisees teach us a valuable lesson on the wrong way to approach God. After refusing to respond to their demands, Jesus took His disciples away and asked them the penetrating question, "Do you still not understand?" Pastor Isaiah shares two valuable lessons from this text before leading the church family in receiving the Lord's Supper. Preached 10/26/25.

The Compassion of Christ (Week 30 - The Gospel of Mark)

In Mark 7:31-8:10, we see Jesus stepping beyond the borders of Israel into Gentile territory, revealing His compassion, power, and true identity as the Savior of the World. Pastor Isaiah explains how seeing the humility of the Canaanite woman, the healing of a deaf man, and the feeding of the Gentile crowd, shows us this truth: For those who respond to Jesus in humility, there are rich outpourings of grace, mercy, and power. Preached on 10/19/25
