I love Michael’s thoughtful approach to our current political division. I truly felt every word of the September 28, 2025 episode, What Makes A Great President. If only our politicians could echo your words.

Michael is a breath of fresh air because of his calm demeanor. He doesn’t feel the need to scream and yell at his audience. He is fair and balanced unlike the podcaster acolytes of our politicians

Critical of Trump but never of Israel. Typical liberal echo chamber. I naively thought this show might have some differing perspectives but alas your standard npr approved opinions

I grew up listening to Michael Medved in the back of my parent’s station wagon when he would fill in for Rush Limbaugh in the 90s. Michael then became a staple of my teenage years as my political opinions were starting to solidify around a conservative worldview. I regarded him as one of the most intellectually formidable thinkers of the golden era of conservative talk radio at that time, and his honesty and commitment to following his convictions really stuck with me. Fast forward to today. I’m in my 40s now and haven’t listened to traditional talk radio in over a decade. My views have moderated over the years and I’ve found an intellectual home with center to center left thinkers like Sam Harris, Jonathan Haidt, and Barry Weiss. But I recently found myself wondering what had happened to Michael Medved. I had to smile today as I recently rediscovered his show and saw that after all these years he had stuck to his convictions and didn’t succumb to audience capture or the Trump train. Started listening and reading his columns again and it felt like reuniting with an old friend. In some small way, his voice gives me hope that there is still some nuance left to glean in the world of conservative voices. It feels good to be back.
