    In this episode, Andrew and I with the help of special guest Dr. Francesc Morales, professor at University of Alabama, unpack what is going on inside and outside of Ukraine. Competing visions of American power and responsibility inform much of the discussion and debate as Andrew and I consider each other's point of view and develop our own in real time. Francesc brings invaluable historical analysis and his Ph'D take on the concept of Translatio Imperii as a means of understanding Putin's otherwise irrational behavior as form of conserving nationalism in a declining power.     On my way back in Iceland, I laid over in Boston for a couple nights and was invited to be on The Movie Loft Podcast. If you're ever in Danvers, Massachusetts and want to see the best podcast physical set on the East Coast, I highly recommend it. Tom and Phil are great conversationalists and have a full bar. Taking a break from their normal content of Film Analysis, on this episode we discuss the upcoming American election with emphasis on the candidates themselves and how people translate their values and experiences into votes, particularly when not a partisan. We also get into personal political evolution as well as the on going Covid-crisis. Thanks for listening!
