    About Guest: ------ Rajendra Adhikari, Ph.D. was born and raised in the staff quarters of the National Electricity Authority(NEA) of the Devighat Hydropower plant in Nuwakot, Nepal. He often visited the hydropower plant location during his childhood with his father, who used to repair electric motors and machines. Having been introduced to the power generating mechanisms early on, he pursued a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering (IOE) Pulchowk Nepal and earned a graduate degree and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech University, USA focusing on an algorithmic approach to control demand response of residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning(HVAC) systems.
