Mark Stoner provides insight and knowledge in the home service industry like no other. Every time I listen to each episode it’s like Mark knows what I’m going through with my businesses. And guess what, I take his advice and implement it with my team and it always works. Mark is smart very kind and generous person but most of all a great leader. He’s been a huge influence in my life and business. Thank you Mark, I’ll keep listening every week.

I liked your podcast, but was completely thrown off after listening to this episode. Your misogynistic rant at the beginning of the episode is alarming. I would encourage you to reflect on all of the things you said and see what you can do to get educated in the area of gender, inclusivity, equity, and identity.

Had the chance to meet Mark Stoner in person when I went to pick up some caps for an employer and he came right up and introduced himself and was very personal. I’m a very personal person myself so I appreciate that attribute in people. He gave me and my coworker a complete tour of his newly acquired powder coating company and how it all worked. Also gave us autographed books and turned me onto this podcast. I explained my plans of starting a chimney and fireplace business in the future near Knoxville where he has one of his locations and he didn’t treat me like an adversary but was welcoming and all about helping me get started. This podcast is great to me and I enjoy starting from the first one and working my way through. It’s rare you find someone on his level so down to earth and willing to talk to a lowly employee of a small business as if I mattered. That will always resonate with me. Thanks for all you do Mark. May God continue to bless your journey!

I met Mark Stoner at a business conference in January of 2018 in which he was a presenter. During Mark’s presentation at this conference, I remember thinking to myself, “Wow, this guy is really squared away.” In January of 2021, I attended another conference with Mark and this time, I had the good fortune to sit next to him for the week. Mark did another outstanding presentation. I was grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him again and, this time, to get to know him on a personal level. During the conference, I learned of Mark’s podcast and he invited me on as his guest for the 100th episode. I have to admit I was scared to death when Mark asked me to be on his podcast -- I had never listened to an episode before. I also did not have any clues on what questions he would ask me. Those that know me said they could tell I was nervous at first; however, I settled in quickly since Mark did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable. I was really impressed with how Mark conducted the interview. He asked thoughtful (unrehearsed and on the fly) questions and made me feel like I was talking to a friend instead of being interviewed on a podcast. After being a guest, I subscribed to Mark’s podcast and went back to listen to each episode. After 12 months, I have finally listened to all of them. (On the date I am writing this review, there are 148 episodes available.) I can honestly say this has become my favorite business podcast and in reality, Mark has become one of my business mentors through his podcast. His episodes have taught me so many valuable business and leadership lessons. The guests on Mark’s podcast are amazing! They have included marketing and sales experts, tax accountants, business lawyers, and other phenomenal entrepreneurs who all share their wisdom and life lessons. I also love that Mark is an avid reader and shares book recommendations with his listeners. I cannot recommend this podcast enough for all entrepreneurs and small business owners. To me, taking time to listen to this podcast is the best 30 minutes I spend each week for improving my own businesses. Mark thank you for taking the time each week to share your knowledge through this podcast!
