    Genesis Part Nine | Bible Study July 15, 2026

    In this Wednesday night Bible study, Pastor Kevin continues the journey through Genesis by revisiting the Tower of Babel and beginning the story of Abraham. He explains how humanity was scattered through the confusion of languages, reminds us that every person ultimately belongs to the same human family, and explores why God called Abraham out of idolatry and into a life of faith. Through Abraham’s successes and failures, we see that God does not call people because they are already perfect—He calls them because He knows what they can become. Pastor Kevin also examines Abraham’s journey into Egypt, the consequences of making decisions from fear instead of faith, and the importance of returning to the place where God last directed us. The study concludes with the mysterious figure of Melchizedek, the king of peace and priest of the Most High God. While Scripture does not clearly reveal his identity, Melchizedek serves as a powerful picture of Jesus Christ, our eternal King and High Priest. Throughout the Old Testament, God uses people, events, and symbols as shadows pointing forward to the greater reality found in Jesus. Abraham was not called because he was already righteous or spiritually mature. He came from a family that worshiped other gods, yet God saw what Abraham could become through faith and obedience. In the same way, God’s calling on our lives is based on His grace and purpose—not our perfection. When famine came, Abraham traveled to Egypt and began making decisions motivated by fear. Those choices created unnecessary trouble and eventually brought him back to Bethel, the place where he had started. God is capable of providing for us, but we must learn to seek His direction rather than allowing fear to determine our next step. Melchizedek, the bronze serpent, Isaac on Mount Moriah, Adam, Joseph, and Jonah all serve as pictures or shadows of something greater. Each story ultimately points toward Jesus—our Savior, eternal High Priest, and King of righteousness and peace. Rather than becoming distracted by unanswered mysteries, our focus should remain on the One those mysteries reveal. Three Main Takeaways 1. God Calls Us for Who We Can Become 2.     Genesis Part Seven | Bible Study July 1, 2026

    In this Wednesday night Bible study, Pastor Kevin continues through Genesis 6–8 with a deep dive into Noah, the ark, and the flood. This study explores the biblical case for a global flood, the patience and long-suffering of God, and how Noah’s obedience stands as a powerful example of faith in an ungodly generation. Pastor Kevin also connects the flood account to the larger story of Scripture, showing how the New Testament writers—and Jesus Himself—affirmed the reality of Noah and the flood. Along the way, he discusses the size and purpose of the ark, the preservation of Noah’s family, the animals on the ark, and how the story of judgment and salvation points forward to the last days. Three Main Takeaways God is patient, but His judgment is real.The flood did not happen because God made a sudden decision. Pastor Kevin emphasized that God gave warning and opportunity for repentance long before judgment came.Noah’s obedience was faith in action.Noah was asked to do something massive, difficult, and humanly overwhelming, yet Genesis says he did all that God commanded him to do.The ark is a picture of God’s salvation.In a world under judgment, God provided a way of rescue for Noah and his family.     Genesis Part Six | Bible Study June 24, 2026

    In this Wednesday night Bible study, Pastor Kevin continues through Genesis and takes a deep dive into one of the most controversial and mysterious passages in Scripture: Genesis 6. Beginning with the prophecy of Genesis 3:15, Pastor Kevin traces the ongoing battle between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent, showing how that conflict runs throughout the entire Bible. This study explores the events leading up to the flood, the ministry of Enoch and Noah, the meaning of the “sons of God,” and how Genesis 6 points to Satan’s repeated attempts to corrupt God’s redemptive plan. Pastor Kevin also connects the days of Noah to the words of Jesus in Matthew 24, challenging believers to remain faithful in a spiritually dark and confusing generation.  Three main takeaways: Genesis 3:15 is the story behind the story.From Cain and Abel to Noah, Israel, Jesus, and even the last days, Scripture reveals an ongoing spiritual battle between God’s promised seed and the enemy’s attempts to stop it.God preserved His promise through Noah.Even in a corrupt generation, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
