    CLUB PREVIEW: Micheál O’Sullivan previews the Cork club football championships

    ON THIS week’s podcast, we are joined by former Cork and Carbery Rangers players Micheál ‘Haulie’ O’Sullivan in looking ahead to the Cork club football championships that throw-in this week. In premier senior Castlehaven will once again be part of the ‘big three’ with St Finbarr’s and Nemo Rangers but can Seanie Cahalane’s men win their third county title in four years? Clonakilty face who many perceive as championship dark horses Knocknagree this Saturday but can Martin O’Brien’s team make good on their potential? Newcestown reached the semi-finals last year and will hope to achieve similar success in 2026. In senior A, Carbery Rangers, O’Donovan Rossa and Dohenys are all in this championship with Bantry Blues and Castletownbere in premier intermediate. Intermediate A has Adrigole, Ilen Rovers, Bandon and Gabriel Rangers while premier junior welcomes Kilmacabea to the fray. It is shaping up to be an interesting season and O’Sullivan gives his thoughts. Also on the show, we preview Cork’s All-Ireland senior camogie semi-final against Tipperary which is this Saturday (6pm) in Semple Stadium.     Barryroe and Carbery player Ryan O’Donovan on Derry Gowen Cup win over Muskerry

    ON THIS week’s podcast, we catch up with Barryroe and Carbery player Ryan O’Donovan, who put in a starring display for his division’s win over Muskerry. In their 2-23 to 2-15 win in the divisions/colleges premier senior football championship decider at Páirc Uí Rinn, he scored 0-8 as he top scored. Gene O’Donovan’s side face UCC for a chance to play in the premier senior quarter-finals alongside the club teams. O’Donovan also played in Barryroe’s 1-15 to 1-13 win over Ballinora in the county hurling league Division 7 final within the next 24 hours, where he scored 1-2 off the bench. Barryroe have another county league final this Saturday against Charleville (7.30pm) in St Vincent's in the junior A football decider. O’Donovan also talks about the benefits that Ibane Gaels has had on his career. Also on the show, we look back at the Clona Milk Carbery U21A quarter-finals where Dohenys, Carbery Rangers, Clonakilty and Castlehaven progressed.     Cork minor football coach Maurice Moore on All-Ireland MFC win

    ON THIS week’s podcast, we are joined by Cork minor football coach Maurice Moore following their dramatic All-Ireland MFC victory. The Rebels beat Tyrone 2-16 to 1-16 in St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge, clinching a brilliant triumph. It was a memorable day for the Rebels as Alex O’Herlihy and Eoghan Ahern got the crucial goals. Carbery Rangers man Moore was working with Keith Ricken as the duo collected another All-Ireland underage crown.     CORK V MAYO REVIEW: John Hayes on Cork’s All-Ireland SFC exit

    ON THIS week’s podcast, we look back on Cork’s All-Ireland SFC exit at the hands of Mayo in last Saturday’s quarter-final in Croke Park. Star Sport columnist John Hayes reflects on what was a disappointing day for John Cleary’s side after a largely positive season leading up to the game. Discussed is Cork’s wides, a missed opportunity and what they need to do next year. Also on the show, we look ahead to the Cork minors’ All-Ireland final against Tyrone this Sunday (2pm) in Newbridge. There is a lot of West Cork representation on the team and Keith Ricken’s side have won every game up to now. They will hope to finish off their season and the Cork inter-county football campaign on a high.     Interview with Cork GAA Secretary and CEO Kevin O’Donovan

    ON THIS week’s podcast, we welcomed Cork GAA Secretary and CEO Kevin O’Donovan into our office in Skibbereen for a chat.     CORK FOOTBALL SPECIAL: Reflecting on Cork’s win over Donegal

    ON THIS bonus podcast, we reflect on Cork’s memorable win over Donegal to progress to the All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals. The Rebels produced an incredible 0-17 to 1-13 in Ballybofey to see off the league champions and, according to some, the All-Ireland favourites. John Cleary’s team were 1-7 to 0-5 down at half time but produced a battling second half display with some great two-point shooting. It means the Rebels have a weekend off before they prepare for their quarter-final in Croke Park on the weekend of June 27-28.     Conor Hourihane on his start to life as a coach

    ON THIS bonus podcast episode, we chat to West Cork’s most famous soccer player Conor Hourihane after a season as head coach of Barnsley. The former Aston Villa and Republic of Ireland player was back home in Bandon this week so it was a great time for Kieran McCarthy to catch up. He has played in all of the top four English leagues, was West Cork’s first ever Premier League goalscorer, captained Barnsley to gain promotion to the Championship and helped Villa return to the Premier League. Hourihane also played 36 times for his country, the only West Cork man ever to play senior with the national team. After departing Barnsley at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, we catch up with the Bandon man to see what he is up to now, his start to life in the dugout and his thoughts on the FIFA World Cup that kicks-off this week.
