This has been so enlightening for me being an African American woman. The black diaspora is huge and I think we need to learn more about each other. The languages and cultures can be so different and there can be such misunderstandings. I am loving this podcast. Thank you!

I randomly fell upon this podcast while I was searching for podcasts about African American cultural perspectives. This podcast is a refreshing insight into the intersectionality of African American and African perspectives in regards to a range of topics. The host does a great job of delving into ideas and the “whys” behind it. She also makes this a platform where both African and African Americans can discuss how they’ve navigated through, not glossing over difficulties they’ve experienced, and how we as a community can work to overcome those difficulties. When I listen I often see similarities within my Gullah/ Geechee culture with the African ones covered. We are truly different “shades of the same foundation”. Great podcast everyone should listen.

Really enjoying the podcast. I enjoy hearing how people can see the same issue in two different ways, but also hearing about the common threads in our upbringing even though we were miles and hours away from each other. Thank you for launching this! Everyone should listen.
