    Medical aid required for a playdate? The parenting debate sparked by a TikTok

    A recent TikTok video by personal and family relationship coach Lundi has sparked debate around whether parents should know if a child has medical aid before allowing them to come over for a playdate. Lundi shared the story of a parent whose son's friend was injured during a playdate and needed treatment at a private hospital, resulting in a bill of almost R7,500 and a disagreement over who should be responsible for the costs.     MyCiTi bus crash leaves homeowner fighting for answer

    A MyCiTi bus crashed through Camilla Wilson’s boundary wall on Hout Bay Main Road following a collision with a blue Opel Corsa on 6 June. Camilla says she was at work when it happened and had no involvement in the crash, but three months later she is still trying to resolve who should cover the damage to her property. Her third-party claim was rejected by AIG, which says the Opel Corsa was the “ultimate cause” of the accident. Camilla also questions why the rejection described her as “the author of your own misfortune”.
