    Episode #120 - Harmony vs Authenticity

    In this episode I explore the idea of harmony vs authenticity. Many times in our relationships we choose to have harmony over expressing our truth. In her book, Growing Yourself Up, Jenny Brown discusses how as we mature and grow in our relationships we should move towards truth and honesty over keeping harmony. Harmony often results in suppressing our truth or eroding our boundaries we may have set. That creates fusion as opposed to differentiation of self. According to Bowen Family Systems Theory, differentiation should be our goal.     #119 - New Paths To Healing: A Therapists Journey with Ketamine, Part 2

    In this episode, I share my experience with my second time doing a Ketamine Therapy session. For reference I utilized many of the principles found with IFS Therapy. If you are not familiar with IFS I strongly suggest it, especially if you are interested in doing Ketamine. There is a great connecting aspect to IFS and Ketamine that is very beneficial to the process. My Goal for this session and the intention I set was to work with a protective part I have that often shows up as fear and sometimes paralyzes me or keeps me from making decisions that I know I should make. It is a part that I want to explore and hopefully remove from my pattern of being. I feel like it hold me back at times when its really not needed.     Episode #118 - Take Aways from 2025: Prioritizing Your Mental Health

    In this episode I reflect on my take aways from the year. The podcast journey was stunted in 2025 with only 4 episodes.. where do I go from here? Main topics - no limits, I found out this year more than ever, age is just a number. We can always be growing and getting better at whatever we put our mind to. Excited for the utilization of KAP (Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy) In my practice, I have already seen great benefits and look forward to continuing to offer this to my clients as needed.     In this Episode I discuss the begginning of my Ketamine Journey. I will do this in two parts. I want to share my experience from my first dosing session and then follow that up with my experience of my second dosing session. In addition to discussing my experience in general with ketamine, I will discuss the benefits I have seen so far. I also provide information about the science behind ketamine and the chemicals at work during and after your session. I wanted to share this experience to bring more awareness to the value ketamine assisted pyschotherapy can bring to your healing journey and help debunk some of the myths out there about the drug. One of the main points is that in doing KAP you must do the work alongside the Ketamine to get the most out of it. Ketamine in and of itself is not a magic pill we take and all our problems go away.
