Episode #63: Are you a highly sensitive person?

In this episode, I share on my belief that sensitivity is one of the greatest gifts we can be given by reading an excerpt from my book, Live Your Freedom Now, called, “Here’s to the Sensitive Ones.” This reading speaks to my own story of trying to live into Dominant Dogma, and the journey out, and why sensitive people are innately built to break the molds put on them. If you find yourself relating to being a sensitive person, experiencing what I share in this episode, I invite you to pick up your copy of my new book,“Live Your Freedom Now.” https://megscolleen.com/work-with-me/

Episode #62: What is trauma-informed coaching?

In this episode, I am exploring what Trauma Informed Coaching is and how to spot it. Right now, there are no regulated standards for Trauma Informed Coaching. I hope that by sharing the five dimensions of trauma informed care (defined by Roger Fallot) and how I personally view Trauma Informed Coaching, it will offer you the skill to choose a coach more wisely, as well as consider your own coaching approach if you are in the industry. If this episode speaks to you deeply about your experience around Trauma Informed Coaching and you’d like to address your experience with it, reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it! https://megscolleen.com/work-with-me/

Episode #61: Breaking the Victim Cycle: How To Claim What You REALLY Want

In this episode, I am exploring the Dominant Dogma of “What you want is meant for you” through the fable “The Fox and The Grapes” and bringing nuance to the experience of victimization when what you want doesn’t become a reality. I speak to how this mantra and some coaching practices perpetuate the feeling of brokenness or the story that you are doing something wrong if you don’t get or create what you want. I also share 3 ways to claim what you *really* want in a way that doesn’t contribute to the feeling of victimization. If this episode speaks to you and the victimization you may feel at times, reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it! https://megscolleen.com/work-with-me/

Episode #60: The Freedom Beyond: "I’m not where I should be"

In this episode, I am exploring the freedom you can find on the other side of the Dominant Dogma of “I’m not where I should be” through the myth of Sisyphus. I share an overview and summary of the myth of Sisyphus, the theme of Fate and what it has to do with claiming full presence, and why believing "I'm not where I should be" is essentially attempting to defy fate. I also address the role of gods/goddesses in myth as mirrors for inner conflict, emotions, and experiences and how honoring your inner gods/goddesses can be a way to meet your present fate. If this episode resonates with your desire to free yourself from the Dominant Dogma of “I’m not where I should be,” reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it! https://megscolleen.com/work-with-me/

Episode #59: The Dominant Dogma: I’m not where I should be

In this episode, I am exploring the Dominant Dogma of “I’m not where I should be.” I offer up a brief reminder of how I define dominant dogma and begin to name the hierarchical structures that delineates where you "should" be in terms of your educational, developmental, and social progress. I also address the instilled drive to pursue external markers of achievement within specific timeframes, plus how important it is to practice being with where you are now, through compassion, full presence and living from your essence. If this episode speaks to you of how the Dominant Dogma of “I’m not where I should be” is affecting your experience of your life, your freedom or your business, reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it! https://megscolleen.com/work-with-me/

Episode #58: The Freedom Beyond: “I deserve this”

In this episode, I am exploring the freedom beyond, and within, the Dominant Dogma of, “I deserve this.” To do this, I share the Greek myth of Narcissus and what I pulled personally from this multi-angled story. I use here to empower you to notice where you project and look to others to find your own innate wholeness and worth, and how you can work with yourself inside of your own projections. If this episode’s myth brought up your own understanding around deservedness, and you’d like to explore what more it holds for you, reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it!

Episode #57: The Dominant Dogma: I deserve this.

In this episode, I am exploring the Dominant Dogma of “I deserve this.” I share why this particular internalized belief is two sided, and include where it intersects with entitlement, privilege and the results of believing you are deserving in those contexts, but I also speak on when using this belief can be an empowering tool to build ego strength, grow in self esteem and validate your innate belonging. I include 3 ways you can use this belief if, after I display the nuances, you wish to use this narrative to claim your self worth. If this episode speaks to you of how you could be using “I deserve this” from a place of entitlement and want to bridge the gap to use it as a tool of self-worth instead, reach out and book a one-on-one call with me. Let’s talk about it!
