Positioned for Purpose | Esther 2

“Positioned for a Purpose” What If God Is Preparing You for Something You Can't See Yet? Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Esther 2:1–23 [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] Have you ever wondered why God placed you where you are? Why this job? Why this season? Why these relationships? Why this struggle? Esther chapter 2 reminds us that God is often working long before we understand what He's doing. While Esther thought she was simply another young woman caught in the king's search for a queen, God was quietly positioning her to save an entire nation. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] Long before the crisis arrived, God had already positioned the solution. Before Haman's plot. Before the danger. Before anyone knew what was coming. God was already at work. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] Key Takeaways • God is working even when we cannot see Him • God can use us exactly as He created us • Our ordinary lives are often God's assignment field • God is preparing things we cannot see yet • Faithfulness is never wasted in God's economy • God's providence works quietly behind the scenes • Open doors and closed doors can both be part of God's plan • We do not need to understand everything to trust God • God positions His people before the need arises • What looks ordinary today may become extraordinary tomorrow [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] Today's Reminder Esther was an orphan. An exile. A young Jewish girl living in a foreign land. She was not powerful. She was not famous. She was not influential. But she was exactly where God needed her to be. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] While Xerxes believed he was choosing a queen, God was preparing a deliverer. While Esther was simply living her life, God was writing history. And while nobody else could see it... God could. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] The same God who positioned Esther is still positioning people today. Maybe your current job isn't accidental. Maybe your neighborhood isn't accidental. Maybe your relationships aren't accidental. Maybe your current season isn't accidental. God may be preparing something today that won't make sense until months or even years from now. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] The question is not: "God, why am I here?" The better question is: "God, what do You want to do through me while I'm here?" Five Truths from Esther 2 #1 God Is Working Even When I Can't See Him God's name is never mentioned in Esther, yet His fingerprints are everywhere. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] #2 God Can Use Me the Way He Made Me Stop comparing your calling to someone else's gifts. God intentionally created you for His purposes. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] #3 My Ordinary Life Is God's Assignment Every conversation. Every relationship. Every opportunity. God may be using them for something bigger than you realize. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] #4 God Is Preparing What I Can't See Yet God is never surprised by what surprises us. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] #5 My Faithfulness Is Never Wasted Mordecai did the right thing and received no recognition. But God was keeping perfect records. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] Today's Challenge Tomorrow morning when your feet hit the floor, ask yourself: "Lord, why have You put me where You have put me?" And then ask: "What are You preparing me to do?" Because Esther chapter 2 teaches us one life-changing truth: You Have Been Positioned for a Purpose. [Esther Cha...her Chosen | Word] The place that feels ordinary today... May be the very place God is preparing to use tomorrow. The Queen's No | Esther 1

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God, especially during the seasons when His plan seems hidden and His hand appears unseen. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, helping believers trust God’s sovereignty even when life doesn’t make sense. Today’s Message “When You Cannot See the Hand of God, Trust the Heart of God” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Esther 1:1–22 The book of Esther begins in a surprising way. There are no miracles. No prophets. No burning bushes. No angels. No mention of God at all. Instead, we find a pagan king, a drunken banquet, a royal conflict, political pride, bad advice, and a queen who loses her position. On the surface, it looks like chaos. But behind every event, God is quietly at work. King Xerxes ruled one of the largest empires in history, spanning 127 provinces and nearly half the known world. He possessed immense wealth, military power, and influence. Yet despite controlling an empire, he could not control himself. His pride, anger, and lack of self-discipline set into motion a chain of events that would ultimately position a young Jewish woman named Esther to save God's people. Esther 1 reminds us that God's providence is often working behind the scenes long before we recognize it. Key Takeaways • God is still working even when His name isn't mentioned • Power without character leads to destruction • Self-control is greater than worldly success • Bad counsel can turn small problems into major crises • Anger and pride often produce lifelong consequences • God's discipline is not God's rejection • Faithfulness in ordinary moments can have eternal impact • God's providence is often hidden but never absent • The most important battles are often internal, not external • When we cannot see God's hand, we can still trust His heart Today’s Reminder Xerxes could rule 127 provinces. But he couldn't rule himself. He controlled armies. But he couldn't control his temper. He possessed extraordinary power. But he lacked extraordinary character. The great lesson of Esther 1 is that God is far more concerned with who we are becoming than what we are building. You can build a successful business and lose your family. You can accumulate wealth and lose your character. You can lead many people and still fail to lead yourself. God is interested in the heart. Yet the greatest truth of Esther isn't about Xerxes. It's about God. Throughout the entire chapter, God is never mentioned once. Yet He is everywhere. Vashti couldn't see it. Xerxes couldn't see it. Esther couldn't see it. But God was already arranging events that would eventually save His people. What looked like palace drama was actually divine providence. What looked like chaos was actually God's plan unfolding. And the same is true for many of us today. You may not understand your current season. You may not understand why a door closed. You may not understand why another hasn't opened. But God sees what you cannot. Today's Challenge Be faithful where God has placed you. Just as Jon Egglen couldn't see the future impact of one snowy Sunday morning, we often have no idea what God is doing through our simple acts of obedience. The question isn't: Can you see God's plan? The question is: Will you trust Him when you can't? Because Esther teaches us one unforgettable truth: When you cannot see the hand of God, trust the heart of God. When God's Judgement Meets God's Grace | Jeremiah 52

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God, especially in a world that constantly tempts us to place our confidence in temporary things rather than eternal truth. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, helping believers recognize the difference between the kingdoms of this world and the Kingdom of God that will never fall. Today’s Message “They Built an Unbreakable Fortress... God Brought It Down” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 51:1–64 Babylon was the most powerful empire on earth. Its walls were massive. Its wealth was unmatched. Its military was feared across the known world. Surrounded by defenses that appeared impenetrable, Babylon believed it was untouchable. But Babylon had one fatal flaw: It measured the strength of its defenses without considering the power of the God who stood against it. Jeremiah 51 is not simply the story of an ancient kingdom's destruction. It is a warning for every nation, every church, and every believer who places confidence in anything other than God. The fortress didn't fall because it was weak. It fell because its greatest vulnerability was the one it never saw coming. Key Takeaways • Every kingdom built by man will eventually fall • God disciplines His children but never abandons them • Pride blinds us to our greatest weaknesses • False security always leads to disappointment • God remains sovereign over nations, leaders, and history • Every wall eventually falls except the Rock of Jesus Christ • What we trust reveals where our true allegiance lies • God calls His people to come out of Babylon and live differently • No earthly success can protect us from God's judgment • Christ is the only Kingdom that cannot be shaken Today's Reminder Three times in Jeremiah 51, God tells His people: "Come out of Babylon." This was more than a command to leave a city. It was a call to leave behind a way of thinking. Babylon represented pride. Babylon represented self-sufficiency. Babylon represented materialism. Babylon represented a world that believed it could thrive without God. And Babylon still exists today. Your Babylon may not be a city. It may be a career. It may be a relationship. It may be a political ideology. It may be a bank account. It may be an addiction. It may be a secret sin. Anything that captures your heart more than Christ has become your Babylon. Jeremiah 51 reminds us that every fortress eventually falls. Every empire eventually crumbles. Every earthly kingdom has an expiration date. But Jesus Christ remains. When the world shakes... He remains. When kingdoms fall... He remains. When everything else fails... He remains. The question isn't whether Babylon will fall. The question is: What are you building your life upon? Because only one Kingdom will never fall. Questions for Reflection • What Babylon am I living in today? • What am I trusting more than Christ? • Where has pride quietly taken root in my life? • Have I confused God's discipline with His rejection? • Am I investing in an earthly kingdom or an eternal one? Babylon's Final Warning | Jeremiah 51

“The Fortress That Never Saw It Coming” When Human Pride Meets Divine Judgment Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 51:1–64 Babylon was the greatest empire on earth. Its walls were massive. Its army was feared. Its wealth was unmatched. Protected by the Euphrates River and fortified by seemingly impenetrable defenses, Babylon believed it was untouchable. But Babylon made a fatal mistake. It measured the strength of its walls while ignoring the power of the God who stood against it. Jeremiah 51 is not simply about the destruction of an ancient empire. It is a warning to every person, nation, and culture that places confidence in human strength rather than God's sovereignty. The fortress fell not because it was weak, but because its greatest vulnerability was one it never imagined. And often, the same is true of us. Key Takeaways • Every human kingdom eventually falls, but God's Kingdom stands forever • Discipline from God is not the same as abandonment by God • God never forsakes those He has redeemed • False security is one of Satan's greatest deceptions • Idols cannot save, protect, or deliver • What appears strongest to man is never stronger than God • Pride blinds us to our greatest vulnerabilities • God remains sovereign over nations, leaders, and history • The safest refuge is not a fortress, but Jesus Christ • Believers are repeatedly called to "come out of Babylon" and separate themselves from worldly allegiances Today's Reminder Babylon trusted its walls. Babylon trusted its wealth. Babylon trusted its army. Babylon trusted its river. Babylon trusted everything except God. [Jeremiah 5...of Babylon | Word] And yet none of those things could save it when God's judgment arrived. The same danger exists today. Your Babylon may not be a city. It may be a career. It may be money. It may be a relationship. It may be political power. It may be self-sufficiency. It may be a secret sin that has captured your heart. Three times in Jeremiah 51, God tells His people the same thing: "Come out of Babylon." This was not merely a command to change locations. It was a command to change allegiance. God's people were not meant to place their trust in Babylon's kingdom. They were called to trust God's Kingdom. The same call remains today. Every wall eventually falls. Every empire eventually crumbles. Every earthly kingdom has an expiration date. Only the Kingdom of Jesus Christ will stand forever. Questions for Reflection • What Babylon has captured my heart? • What am I trusting more than Christ? • Am I relying on my fortress or God's faithfulness? • Have I confused God's discipline with God's rejection? • Am I building a temporary kingdom or investing in an eternal one? Today's Challenge God's message to Babylon wasn't ultimately about geography. It was about loyalty. It was about trust. It was about worship. Babylon still exists wherever people are told: "You don't need God." "Trust yourself." "Build your own kingdom." "Live for today." But God still says: "Come out of her." [Jeremiah 5...of Babylon | Word] Leave behind the things that compete with Christ. Build your life on the Rock. Because when everything else is shaken, Jesus Christ remains the only Kingdom that cannot be moved. Babylon will Fall | Jeremiah 50:1-46

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God in a world increasingly built on temporary kingdoms and false securities. Today’s Message When Giants Fall: The Dangerous Illusion of Being Untouchable Scripture: Jeremiah 50:1-46 Babylon was the most powerful empire on earth, yet God declared that even this seemingly invincible kingdom would fall. Jeremiah 50 reminds us that every earthly kingdom eventually falls, but God's Kingdom stands forever. Key Takeaways • Giants fall when they forget God • Pride is often the hidden cause of destruction • Success becomes dangerous when it convinces us we no longer need God • False gods always make false promises • Every earthly kingdom eventually comes to an end • God's judgment is always balanced by His mercy • No sin is too great for God's forgiveness • Jesus Christ is the only unshakable foundation Today's Reminder Babylon looked unstoppable, but pride caused its downfall. Jeremiah 50 challenges us to ask what we are building our lives upon. Will we build on temporary kingdoms or on Christ? Through Jesus, our sins are forgiven, forgotten, and removed forever. Four Questions to Consider • Where is pride quietly taking root in my life? • What am I trusting besides Christ? • Is there something I've stopped believing God can forgive? • Which kingdom am I really building? What we think can save us actually hurts | Jeremiah 49: 1-39

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in a world filled with false promises of security. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to place their confidence in Christ rather than the temporary securities of this world. Today’s Message The Danger of False Security Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 49:1–39 Jeremiah 49 contains a series of warnings to the nations surrounding Israel—Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Hazor, and Elam. Each nation trusted in something that made them feel secure. Some trusted their wealth. Others trusted military power, wisdom, geography, or reputation. But all of them shared the same fatal flaw: they placed their confidence in something other than God. Like the residents who ignored the warnings before Mount St. Helens erupted, these nations mistook past stability for future security. They assumed that because judgment had not come yet, it never would. But God's warnings are acts of mercy, and His promises always come to pass. Key Takeaways • God's warnings are acts of mercy, not cruelty • False security can be more dangerous than obvious danger • Wealth, wisdom, power, and reputation cannot save us • Pride causes nations and individuals to ignore God's warnings • God often removes the very thing we trust more than Him • Every earthly fortress will eventually crumble • The strongest refuge is a relationship with Jesus Christ • God's judgment is always balanced by His mercy and grace • Repentance leads to restoration • The only security that lasts forever is found in Christ alone Today's Reminder The Ammonites trusted their riches. The Edomites trusted Petra. Damascus trusted its history and reputation. The Bedouins trusted their independence. The Elamites trusted their military strength. Every nation believed it possessed something that made it untouchable. Every nation was wrong. Jeremiah 49 asks a deeply personal question: What is your Petra? What are you relying on more than God? The danger is not having these things—the danger is trusting them. God loves us enough to expose our false securities before they become our destruction. The only refuge that has never failed and never will fail is Jesus Christ. God won't let you leave unchanged | Jeremiah 48:1-47

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially during seasons of change, disruption, and spiritual growth. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, encouraging believers to embrace God's refining work rather than settle into spiritual complacency. Today’s Message “God Loves You Too Much to Settle” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 48:1–47 Jeremiah 48 contains God's message to the nation of Moab—a prosperous, comfortable, and powerful people who had become consumed by pride. For generations, Moab enjoyed security, wealth, and stability. They had been at rest from youth, untouched by the hardships and challenges that often drive people closer to God. Using the imagery of winemaking, Jeremiah describes Moab as wine that had never been poured from vessel to vessel. Left sitting too long, the wine became stagnant and bitter. In the same way, Moab's comfort produced complacency, and complacency produced pride. Key Takeaways • Comfort is not always a blessing—sometimes it becomes a spiritual danger • God often pours us from vessel to vessel to prevent complacency • Pride grows when we stop depending on God • Trials and disruptions can be evidence of God's refining work • Prayerlessness is often a symptom of self-reliance • God opposes pride but gives grace to the humble • God's promises and warnings always come to pass Today’s Reminder God is far more concerned with your spiritual growth than your personal comfort. He knows that if we stay in the same place too long, we can become stagnant, self-sufficient, and spiritually ineffective. Jeremiah 48 reminds us that God doesn't disrupt our lives because He has abandoned us. He disrupts our lives because He loves us. The question is not: Why is God changing things? The real question is: Will you trust Him enough to be poured where He leads? Are we looking for comfort In the wrong places? | Jeremiah 46:1-28

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in seasons of fear, uncertainty, and shifting foundations. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to stop placing confidence in the world and start living fully anchored in God’s truth. Today’s Message “What Is Your Egypt?” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 46:1–28 Jeremiah 46 shifts the focus beyond Judah and delivers a powerful message about Egypt—a nation that looked strong, secure, and unstoppable. From a human perspective, Egypt had everything: military power, wealth, influence, and stability. For Judah, Egypt seemed like the obvious solution in a time of crisis. But what looked like strength was already headed for collapse. This chapter reminds us that misplaced trust will always lead to disappointment. The very thing Judah believed could save them was the very thing God was about to judge. Egypt could not protect them—because Egypt itself was not secure. Jeremiah 46 isn’t just about a nation—it’s about the human tendency to run toward something other than God when fear rises. It confronts the question we all must answer: What are we really trusting? Key Takeaways • Anything we trust more than God will eventually fail • What looks strong in the world may already be under God’s judgment • Fear often drives us to false sources of security • Earthly power cannot provide lasting protection • God alone is a faithful and unshakable refuge • Jesus is not a temporary solution—He is a faithful Savior who never leaves • Trusting the wrong thing can lead to spiritual collapse • God’s promises remain, even when everything else falls apart • The safest place is not in worldly strength—but in God’s presence Today’s Reminder Judah looked at Egypt and saw security. God looked at Egypt and saw weakness. They saw protection—God saw judgment. They saw a solution—God saw a problem. How often do we do the same? When life becomes uncertain, we run—to money, careers, relationships, influence, or control. Not because those things are inherently wrong—but because we begin to trust them more than God. Jeremiah 46 reminds us: every “Egypt” eventually falls. The job can disappear. The economy can shift. The relationship can fail. The plan can collapse. But God remains. Twice in this chapter, God speaks directly to His people: “Do not fear… for I am with you.” That is the promise—not that life will be easy, but that God will be faithful. So the question is simple—but deeply personal: What is your Egypt? What are you trusting more than God? Where do you run when fear takes hold? What do you believe will save you? Because Egypt promises security—but delivers disappointment. Jesus promises salvation—and delivers every time.
