Listing more con’s than pro’s, but the pro’s carry a lot of weight. Pro’s: - Incredibly thorough and well-versed, very clear and sharp answers. I know I can get a quality answer on most questions related to the magisterium, ecclesiology, theology, etc. - Right intentions. Con’s: - Sometimes bashes you over the head with logic. Not everything has to be attacked like a freight train. - Could steel man those he critiques a bit better, especially since he’s so thorough otherwise. It would be more interesting (and charitable) that way. - Too many clickbaity headlines and rhetorical questions and “gotchas.” - the strengths of this show and its host are comprehensiveness, thoroughness, etc… not on-the-minute breaking news coverage. - I tend to avoid the political episodes. I go elsewhere for that. And they’re especially clickbaity in the titles, and from the few I’ve listened to, the content. - Overall, the clickbait, gotchas, etc plus the feuding/checking towards other Catholic figures is tiring and makes me a lot more discerning about when I choose to listen.
