This is Focus, Purpose & Leadership by Robert Bean. I decided to create this podcast because in my 40 year career in the advertising, communications and brand strategy worlds, I've come to learn about the fundamental importance of clarity and purpose. Or in my terms, the value of having a 'single organising principle, a principle that a business would live or die by that is single minded and focused and helpful in consistent decision making. In this series I'll be chatting to leaders who have put this into practice whilst developing their own successful businesses.

Abandoned by his parents and hiding for a life of drugs and crime, he found the military and in particularly ‘Who Dares Wins’. He talks about this with passion and vigour and brings it to life as a real life single organising principle. Now settles back into civil life, he runs several international businesses in the food & personal care sectors. As I’m sure you’ll agree with me, he’s one of those characters who’s mad, bad, and a little dangerous to know.
