James Daubeney

You may well have internet radio fatigue, God knows there are thousands of sites trying to get your attention. The Story of Rock and Roll Radio Show is different. It goes out live weekly on Rebel Rock Radio and Bulldogs radio but also as a Podcast so you can choose when you want to hear it. TSORR is not background music, it is a relationship. The show exists to introduce you to music you will like, play the music you want to hear, and give you some insight into the bands and the music. So, if Rock & Metal are part of your life, give The Story of Rock and Roll a listen. The Story of Rock and Roll Radio Show or TSORR covers a vast range of Rock, Metal, Punk & Blues. It showcases guitar based-music from around the world. You will get music from the mid 60's all the way through to albums released this week. With TSORR it is all about the music. If you love guitars and loud rock and roll this is the show for you. Each week it features many of the top rock and metal bands in the world. There is always a healthy selection of ACDC, Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Rush, Kiss, Queen, ZZ Top, Rammstein, Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Dio, and all the bands that made Rock Music what it is today. The show also introduces you to many great bands that you may or may not have heard of. TSORR tends not to focus on the greatest rock hits of all time, it goes deeper and features tracks off classic albums that you won't hear elsewhere. TSORR is the place to pick up on something you like and then follow up and delve deeper into a band or song that struck a sweet chord with you. The show is always trying to bring you, in Bowie's words, that "One damn song that can make me break down and cry". You get the facts and the stories as well as some irreverent opinions and you can always contact TSORR for more info about something you heard. Give it a try, TSORR; it's all about the music \m/

The Story of Rock and Roll: S9E6

S9E6 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 5 Feb 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio.  Things are back to normal down here, and it's a bit quiet in the studio without my daughter, but I had a great show regardless, lots of fun in the chat groups. The Diabolical Challenge featured the first 4 of 16 live albums that will go into the quarterfinal in week 10. Votes were tied for Frampton Comes Alive and Deep Purple Made in Japan.  We'll need another couple of votes during the week to get a winner. Check out the TSORR Facebook page if you want to vote, see below.  Please vote on the Diabolical Challenge every week on The Story of Rock and Roll Facebook page. The Story of Rock and Roll: S9E3

S9E3 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 15 January 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio.  It was a tough show; you shouldn't notice listening to the podcast, but it was a technical challenge with the station cutting out every couple of minutes and massive latency of 3-5 minutes.  Rock and Metal Time Machine continues to get great support on the show, and the momentum is building on the Diabolical Challenge. We're now taking votes on the Story of Rock and Roll Central poll and on the TSORR Facebook page.  On this episode, we got our third album for the playoff in two weeks, Guns N' Roses beat out Metallica, ACDC, and Def Leppard. They'll meet Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, and whoever wins next week.  The challenge played out after Immortals about two-thirds of the way through the show.  There's not a lot of new stuff out, so we're still listening to Alter Bridge and Megadeth from last week.    Please help me have a great year on The Story of Rock and Roll by sharing the links and sharing the show.  It's the 10th anniversary of the book, The Story of Rock and Roll. You can get that on Kindle, via Amazon.   Check out the website: www.storyofrockandroll.com  and join TSORR Central https://chat.whatsapp.com/LQFVLqOUIpR0ArBarIAQEu The Running Order of Artists: Airbourne, Joe Bonamassa, Avenged Sevenfold, Last in Line, Buckcherry, Uriah Heep, Judas Priest, Faces, Black Øwl, The Lazys, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, Slade, Led Zeppelin, Nazareth, Rob Zombie, Kid Rock, The Rolling Stones, Rush, Boston, April Wine, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Metallica, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Accept, Beautiful Creatures, Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Dark Tranquillity. The Story of Rock and Roll: S9E2

S9E2 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 8 January 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio.  It's the first anniversary to the day of the opening of the studio in Myoli Beach. What a ride it's been. The New Year is kicking in, there's chaos around the world, and we're trying to make sense of it all by just playing the best music in the world.  In this episode, check out brand new releases from Alter Bridge and Megadeth.  We had a great Rock and Metal Time Machine, from Bowie to Newsted, ACDC to Mott the Hoople, all sorts to keep you entertained.  In The Diabolical Challenge, we looked at the 4 greatest grunge albums ever released.  Pearl Jam went through and will meet up with last week's winner, Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell.  Please do feel free to vote on the Diabolical Challenge every week on The Story of Rock and Roll Facebook page. It makes it much more interesting if we get a representative sample. The Story of Rock and Roll: S9E1

S9E1 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 1 January 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio.  This was a celebration of the start of 2026. I don't know how your 2025 was; mine wasn't great. Quite happy to see the back of it and we've got a whole new season of The Story Rock and Roll Radio Show.  Season 9 kicked off right here.  S9E1 still had the Immortals, the Diabolical Challenge in Rock & Metal Time Machine, but there are big plans this year to grow the listener base.  The Story of a Rock and Roll Radio Show is now exclusively on Bulldogs Radio. This show is on Thursdays, and a short one-hour turbo edition on Fridays.
