‘Fifty Shades of Dave’ has been best described as a brutally honest, ‘warts and all’ exposé of the perception of male mental health in modern society; specifically, the north of England. It’s often brash and unashamed narrative unapologetically reflects actual life events of the writer and blends risqué, tongue in cheek humour with gut wrenching drama and heartbreak as told through the troubled character of ‘Dave’.
Warning: Contains very strong language and themes of an adult nature from the outset. Also contains triggering accounts of grief and suicide.

Surprise! It's our BIRTHDAY!
We are TWO years old today! How crazy is that?
Long before words like COVID and LOCKDOWN were even a thing, 10 sweaty people crammed themselves into a pokey recording studio in Liverpool to create 'Fifty Shades of Dave' a comedy, a drama, a sublime mess of emotion, knob gags and male mental health.

‘Dave’ (David Tyson) is in mid session with counsellor Joyce Logan (Nadya Lee) and continues to delve deeper into the root of his pain. Rosie, (Claudia Grier) is compromised by ‘Dave’s’ story leaving Neil (Curtis Ledsham) carefully holding down the fort as things become turbulent. Fifty Shades Of Dave; Episode 4. ‘C'est Dommage’ (Clean Cut)
After drowning their sorrows in the Popeye’s Arms, the two suspended Bickenhole Radio presenters Rosie (Claudia Grier) and Neil (Curtis Ledsham) start the merry task of finding their depressed caller ‘Dave’ (David Tyson) professional help. Rosie enlists the help of counsellor Joyce Logan (Nadya Lee) of mental health charity ‘Think’ to try and encourage ‘Dave’ to open up live on air. What could go wrong?

The town of Bickenhole is pissed - and for once, it’s not alcohol related. It seems conducting a counselling session live on air isn’t what the locals want, making Rosie (Claudia Grier) and Neil (Curtis Ledsham) public enemy number one and two. This backlash spurns the charming Bickenhole Radio General Manager Declan Eaveson (Allan Lear) to act in the only way he knows how and delivers a startling ultimatum.
