7 episodes

Through unfiltered advice, host Tonya Mosley takes on listener questions, digging into what it means to not just survive, but thrive, as a person of color in our country. If Miss Manners tells you how to blend in and behave, Truth Be Told explores how you can be you in a world that doesn’t always want you to be.

We’re like the friend you call after a long, exhausting day – the one who will laugh, cry, bitch and moan with you. The one who gets it.

Brilliant!!!

I listen to all the episodes, they were well done and so real. As a black elderly female I learned quite a few cultural struggles, opinions and biases obtained by people of color. Well done and expressed. I’m only waiting for the next season and I hope it’s soon.

Dive deep

This podcast is produced so thoughtfully to explore some of the hardest issues facing us in the current moment, but still encourages us to heal and experience joy freely. These episodes get to the deep questions so many of us share and could be talking about more openly. Thank you!

Exactly What I Needed

Truth be told came into my life exactly when I decided I really need to start my self-healing process from trauma and self-loathing. I am a straight African American woman raised in Montana and Oregon, gravitating toward the white population around me. I have always felt alienated from the black community and not sure how to penetrate it. Just hearing this podcast and learning how other POC’s feel and deal with those feelings has enabled me to start the journey of becoming a part of various worlds around me. I can’t wait for more, so glad this is around and that it found me! Also recommending to anyone around me that I think might benefit from it💕
